After Newsday's sale to Time Warner Corporation, magazines were published under their current corporate name until they were re-branded as The Magazines Store on January 1, 2006.

Baraboo, Wisconsin is a town in Dane County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 5,898 at the 2000 census. The name is derived from the German word "Barabach". The village of Baraboo was organized in 1854 and became a town in 1871. The present-day town was created by combining the villages of Baraboo and North Baraboo. It is part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of , all land. As of the census of 2010, there were 5,898 people living in Baraboo. Of these, 4,902 (92%) were white alone and 2 (6%) were black or African American. 1 person (3%) was Native American; 1 person (3%) was Asian; and 128 (4%) were other races alone or in combination with one race. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 723 persons (21%).

Baraboo, Wisconsin is a small town in the U.S. state of Wisconsin and is part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. The population was 7,060 at the 2010 census. It is located on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan, about 20 miles (32 km) north-northwest of Milwaukee. The first white man to settle in Baraboo was George Hennepin in 1836. By 1840, there were four settlements in Baraboo: Hennepin's Prairie Village, Green Bay Settlement, Appleton Settlement and Waukesha Settlement. On March 14, 1847, the legislature created Racine County from portions of Milwaukee County along with Menomonee Falls Township and Union Grove Township. The name for this new county was changed to Racine County on November 3rd due to confusion with Rock Island County in Illinois which had been renamed by that time to Rock Island County after its founder Daniel Boone In 1851-1852 a group of settlers led by Isaac Morrill set up a permanent farm at what is now downtown Baraboo after moving from Minnesota during the Great Sioux War of 1849-1850. They named their land "Morrill Land" in honor of General Isaac Morrill who led these settlers into battle against Sitting Bull and his Lakota followers at Little Bighorn Battlefield near present day Racine on July 8th,. In 1850-1851 also Julius Schoening bought 640 acres northwest of downtown Baraboo from Morrill's heirs for $8 per acre ($48 million dollars today). This two acre parcel would later become known as White Oak Swamp and still contains some remains from those early days including an early settler cabin dating back to 1793 called "Hancock House". At this time only men could own land here so it must have been quite profitable for Schoening to purchase this large piece of rural forestland! It wasn't until 1862 whenbaraboosite company founded by superintendent John Fitch arrived that things got really exciting! After coming up with an improved way to transport coal overland across open country they started shipping coal via railroads right up through town! baraboosite company continued operating until 1915 when it merged with other companies making it one giant manufacturing business!

The population grew rapidly during the 1830s due to immigration from Hungary and other parts of Europe. By 1840, Baraboo had a population of over 100 people. In 1846, the village of Burlington merged with Baraboo, making it one municipality. The town developed a strong agricultural economy until the late 19th century when manufacturing became more important. In the early 21st century,Baraboo is a primarily rural community with a large percentage of its residents working in agriculture or services related to those industries.
