Baraboo, Wisconsin is a town in the U.S. state of Wisconsin and the county seat of Racine County. The population was 7,711 at the 2010 census. This mill closed due to financial difficulties around 1890, but reopened several years later as the Pioneer Iron Works Co.; this company ceased operations around 1906 when new methods were developed for making steel using pig iron instead. In 1909, a local grocery store opened called Empire Grocery & Meat Market which continued until 1984 when Empire Markets Inc., based in Merrillville closed down their stores throughout central Wisconsin due to competition from Safeway supermarkets southward within that area during that time period also known as "the Great Mall Revolution". In 1952–1953, construction began on what would become Park Ridge Shopping Center which anchored Interstate 94 between Highway 43 north of town center and I-94 exit 134 about two miles west of town center; this shopping center opened approximately 20 years after its conception with anchors JCPenney, Sears Roebuck & Co., Kress Martins Department Store and Aldi Conveying out numerous anchor stores including Toys 'R' Us later expanding into other departments such as Michaels Stores while still remaining anchored by Sears followed by KB Home before eventually closing completely sometime after 2019 along with most other department store chains taking over management duties inside Target or going out OFFLINE following terrorist events such as Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings happening across America leaving many retailers struggling both financially AND physically close including Sears who filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection just weeks prior to their closure leaving many people wondering if their mall will be next

The town of Baraboo was platted on February 3, 1827 by George Stephenson with land grant from Governor John Fenton of Michigan Territory. The original settler's names were spelled variously such as Beardsley, Bestecker, Bemis or Bedeker; but it appears that all eventually bore similar surnames: Barrow (or Baron), Baird (or Baader), Bedeker (later Becker), Braman (later Braun), Carlson (later Carver), Conklin ( later Cooks) ect... Some settlers brought animals with them when they arrived: mules and hogs were among those who came from Ohio; dogs also followed soon afterwards from Pennsylvania; cats and ferrets also came overland from New England As early as 1828 a Methodist church had been built on South Main Street in present-day Baraboo by Revd Wm Henson & Co., successors to Reverend Elisha Mott & Company which had built it two years earlier . A large brick school building was erected on South High Street between 1830-1833 by subscription under auspices of The Methodist Episcopal Church while Methodists still operated schools outside of Milwaukee . An addition to this building served as a jail until 1840 when it burned down In 1830 there was only one hotel in town – The Mohawk – but it rapidly became popular due to its good food options and its location next door to Masonic Lodge #5 where dinner can be enjoyed at any time during business hours without having to leave your room or go into another part of the building During prohibition era Prohibition agents could stay at any hotel while enforcing law - so many hotels went out Of Business that management resorted to hiring private security guards In 1850 three more buildings were added onto South High Street including “The Gilded Cage” which housed an brewery until 1886 then became an opera house until 1927; “Swan Song” became a grocery store circa 1860 before becoming again an opera house until 1984 known today simply as “The Opera House”; finally “Heavenlyjohnny’s” become yet another hotel following fire sale in 1951
