The Ashwaubenon Rifle and Pistol Club (ARPC) was founded in 1916. The club is dedicated to the preservation of firearms and related shooting sports, including rifle and pistol shooting. In 1924, the ARPC organized a rifle/pistol tournament at the local high school. This event became known as the “Green Bay Gun Show” because of its location in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The event attracted top shooters from around the country. In 1934, NRA member Walter Hulbert donated $10,000 to support new rifle range construction in Ashwaubenon. This new range was designed for use by archers and shotgunners who enjoyed target shooting with handguns. From this new range, ARPC members began picking up their share of Target Shooting events throughout the state of Wisconsin. In 1955, NRA member Johnnie Ray donated a .22lr pistol to ARPC for use at our members-only target shooting events. This pistol had been used by Milt Fowler during World War II as part of his military service. With its simple design and easy cocking action, this pistol quickly became one of our most popular targetshooting pistols! Today, the ARPC continues to preserve firearms through barrel-building contests and training programs for adult shooters across Wisconsin!

Ashwaubenon is a town in Barron County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,954 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Milwaukee–Waukesha–West Allis Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was organized on December 8, 1851 and named for Ashwaubenon Creek. The first settler in the town was Levi Coffin. The first store in Ashwaubenon opened in 1857. The town had a post office from 1857 to 1865 and from 1870 to 1875. In 1911, the town acquired its own power plant and began providing all public services within its boundaries. In 1953, ashwagun (a type of cornmeal) became an official foodstuff of the United States after it was introduced by Warren Cavanaugh as a marketing gimmick to promote his new grain mill in Ashwaubenon. According to the 2010 census, there are 1,954 people living in Ashwaubenontownship/Cemetery which encompass an area of . Of this population 69% identify as white non-Hispanic while 31% identify as black or African American; 5% are Native American; 0% are other minority groups and 2% don't answer any questions about their race/ethnicity

Ashwaubenon is a town in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 11,362 at the 2010 census. It is the most populous town in Milwaukee County. The first European to see Ashwaubenon was Pierre Marquette on his mapping of the Great Lakes region in 1673. He named it after an Ojibwe word meaning "the place where there are many fawns." In 1836, residents of nearby Waukesha petitioned for incorporation as a village. On October 3, 1836, Ashwaubenon became a Town when its citizens voted by referendum to become one. On January 1, 1852, Iowa Territorial Governor James Kossuth signed legislation creating the City of Milwaukee and annexing all of present-day Ashwaubenon into it as well as portions of Waukesha and Racine counties. This action ruralMilwaukeeites interpreted as giving them too much territory and pushed for annexation back into Waukesha County instead which they eventually achieved on February 14th of that year with a referendum vote also approving cityhood. On July 8th 1854 voters in Ashwaubenon passed a resolution proposing annexation by Rockford because they felt their economic opportunities were superior to those at Rockford and Waukesha Counties. As part of the Settlement Act approved by Congress on December 15th that year, Rockford agreed to annex Ashwaubenon but only if it would create jobs within its borders - an offer that was not accepted because businesses did not want to move out from downtown Milwaukee because they thought their businesses would be taken away from them byRockford's proposed ordinance establishing business zoning regulations specific to shops/stores alone rather than including services such as ambulances or parking garages).
Ashwaubenon was a town in La Crosse County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 2,960 at the 2000 census. It is now part of downtown La Crosse. The first settlement in what is now Ashwaubenon was made by Peter Weigel and his family in 1836. By 1840, there were ten dwellings and one store in the town. A post office was established at Ashwaubenon on December 12, 1840, and remained open until January 15, 1893. In 1851 the community formed a fire brigade with six men. In 1872 a canal was built through the town by members of the village council to bring water to residents north of Ashwaubenon. In 1875 an act was passed providing for township government within La Crosse County and setting out boundaries for each township. On February 6, 1886, Ashwaubenon incorporated as a city under the terms of that legislation. La Crosse became its municipal printer and it had two officers: clerk and treasurer
