The Ashwaubenon Rifle and Pistol Club, Inc. was formed in 1913. The club has been meeting annually since then to shoot handguns, shotguns, and rifles. In 1957 the club changed its name to the Ashwaubenon Rifle and Pistol Association (ARRPA).
Ashwaubenon is a small town in the Milwaukee metropolitan area and it is located on the north side of the city. The population was 8,916 at the 2010 census. It is part of the greater Milwaukee–West Allis area. The village was first settled by Germans in 1836. The name comes from an early settler, Johannes Amishwaberon. German settlers arrived in Ashwaubenon beginning in 1846 and many businesses were established here during that time including a bakery, grocery store, post office, livery stable and blacksmith shop. In 1892, a group of Dutch immigrants founded a farm near Ashwaubenon and this became known as Deventer-Ashwaubenon (Dutch for "Ashwaubenon Settlement"). They raised crops and cattle until World War II when they all left to go into hiding because of the Nazi occupation. A few returned after the war but most remained in exile until they finally gained their citizenship back in 1960. Many people who live around Ashwaubenon are descendants of these Dutch immigrants or their descendants through marriage or adoption. This includes many farmers who have continued to work on farms throughout Wisconsin's history; some have even been able to keep their landholdings since beforeWisconsin became a state! Today, there are several business districts downtown which include restaurants such as IHOP and Dunkin' Donuts; music venues like First Avenue Live & Draves Pub (a local favorite) and Three Dog Night; bars like O'Malley's Irish Pub; antique stores like Pottersville Antiques & More; pet shops - especially those located near First Avenue Live & Draves Pub; as well as more general retail businesses like KFC!

Ashwaubenon is a town in Dane County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 3,814 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Milwaukee–Waukesha–Eau Claire metropolitan area. The first residents of what is now Ashwaubenon were people who arrived in 1837 from Germany and settled on the east side of the river. The town was named after Captain John Ashwubenon, one of the early surveyors for Dane County. The first store was built in 1845 by Hemanus Fenton and his brother-in-law Amos Morse. Ashwaubenon grew quickly and by 1870 had a school, a post office, and a half dozen businesses including two churches and several farms. By 1900, it had over 100 residents and five schools. In 1914, when Wisconsin became an American state, Ashwaubenon became its capital city; it has since reverted to its original name. As an agricultural community, Ashwaubenon produced hay, cottonseed oil (safflower), potatoes (gravy mix), eggs (bunny Chow mix), bacon (frozen pork products), flour (white) and other goods for local markets as well asexport to other states such as Minnesota and Illinois. During World War II (), many local farmers engaged in production of munitions; some also served in the military during that war(). During much of the 20th century there was little industry within walking distance of most homes; however with reactivation of factories beginning in the late 1990s this began to change with development near highways such as I-94/I-93 which have led to increased job opportunities for locals ().Today ash Waubenoneis known for being home to one of Wiscones most successful high school sports programs -the varsity basketball team has won six state championships dating back to 1951
