Allouez is a town in Door County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,827 at the 2010 census. Allouez is part of the Green Bay–West Allis Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first recorded activity in what is now Allouez took place on July 6, 1849 when three men from La Crosse founded a post office there. A post office was established at Allouez on November 3, 1851 and remained in operation until it was discontinued on July 1, 1957. On January 15, 1880 the first railway company to be chartered in the state of Wisconsin reached Allouez with its line running from Milwaukee to Racine; this railroad became known as the Milwaukee Road. At that time all of Door County was within la Crosse County and so only about one-third of the people living there were actually before 1880 residents of Allouez or any other communities located within that county limits. However by 1890 over 60% of the people living there were either born or had been born here since 1800 residents had arrived following European settlements during that period. In 1907 local farmers organized themselves into a grain elevator company which they named The Great Western Grain Elevator Company Limited (GWGEC). It continued operations until 1917 when it went bankrupt due to high prices for corn caused by strategic alliances between various cereal producers around that time including Monsanto and Illinois State Normal University (ISU). In 1920 an act providing for consolidation of local agricultural organizations passed through Congress but no action being taken resulted in GWGEC continuing operations as an independentlyowned cooperative until 1947 when it merged with other member companies forming The American Grain Growers Association Incorporated (AGGA) which still operates today as an agricultural commodities organization making deliveries directly to consumers throughout North America both online and offline through their subsidiary agroforestry projects worldwide

Allouez is a town in Vernon County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,827 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Green Bay–Appleton–Waukegan metropolitan area. The first settler in Allouez was Nicholas Allouez, who arrived in 1836 and named the community after his father-in-law, Pierre Allouez. The town was platted in 1851 by John A. Fitch and others under the name of "Alvarez." The first store opened in 1861. The post office was established at Alvanz on November 7, 1871. Allouez had a railroad station on the Milwaukee Road from its opening until 1907 when it moved to Appleton due to competition from that city's new railroad station there. The townspeople built a dam across the Fox River for power purposes in 1903 and also developed an agricultural sector which produced hay, oats, corn, potatoes and other crops until around 1935 when chemical production became more prevalent in the area and those crops were replaced by textiles such as jeans and clothing made from cottonseed oiled fabric
Allouez is a town in the Town of Shawano on the east side of the Wisconsin River. The population was 1,451 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Racine–West Allouez School District. The first settler in what is now Allouez was John Allouez and his family who arrived in 1793. The town was platted in 1836 by George Washington Stephenson and named for him, John Allouez Sr., an associate justice on the Michigan Territory Court and brother-in-law of Governor James K. Polk. In 1899, all but two residents left to form a new town called Racine which grew quickly because it had access to railroad transportation and became popular with farmers for its markets, schools and churches. In 1906, however, Racine merged with West Allouez to form one larger community under one superintendent. Held every year since 1907 by the Shawano Historical Society (now known as Shawano Museum), "Allouez Days" are an event that celebrates local history and culture with music, artisanship demonstrations, historical exhibits and more!
