Alice Bacon's death in 1928 left behind two daughters; Edith (1910-2002) and Margaret (1914-1995). After World War II, Margaret took over running the household as Domestic Vice President for State National Bank ofWestVirginia before retiring from that position in 1984. When Edith retired from teaching high school math and science at Pfeiffer High School in 2002 she became First Lady ofWestVirginia under then Governor Don Edwards through her marriage to him on October 16th that year Edith Bacon Weirnton was born October 16th 1902,in Wheeling,WV to Alice Weiringer (1892-1973)and Norton Weiringer (1887-1966). She graduated fromWheeling High School Class of 1924 where she played varsity sports including basketball & baseball & was captain of both teams as well as editor-in-chief ofthe school’s newspaper which she conducted while also serving as an active member of student council & English declamation society club She married Don Edwards on October 16th 1952 after they met while working together atState National Bank where he had been vice president since 1951 They have three children: Domenic Edward “Don’t Tell Mom”(born 1958), Kathleen Elizabeth “Kathy”(born 1960), and Caroline Elizabeth “Caroline”(born 1966). After service withthe U S Marine Corps during World War II she returned to Wheeling to become assistant director for social services for Huntington Hospital before becoming Director/CEOof Huntington Hospitals Incorporated from 1980 thru 1990 . She died December 12th 2003 aged 80 after a long illness

After becoming popular within artillery and sniper circles, Telescopic Rifles eventually spread throughout infantry combat operations during World War II where they proved invaluable in exposing enemies who had concealment capabilities. In 1945, telescopic rifles were finally phased out in favor of monopod/telescopic sights which allowed soldiers on battlefields greater accuracy while engaging targets at long ranges without having to fear muzzle fire from surrounding troops or machinesgun nests located high up in trees or atop hillsides!
