BB guns, also known as black powder firearms, have a long and convoluted history in Parkersburg, West Virginia. Manufacturers produced different types of BBguns including air-gun pistols (such as an American Pistol), air rifles (such as a Winchester repeating rifle) and centerfire shotguns ( such as a Remington 870). In addition to their traditional function as shooting devices, some BBguns also became popular among collectors due to their unique features or design

These guns were called “BB Guns.” BB Guns are made from small calibers (like BBs) that are shot at a high speed into a target. The Accuracy of these guns is often measured by how close the target can be hit with one shot. One type of BB gun was invented in 1851 by Henry Repeating Arms Company. This company produced two models: the model A and the Model B. The Model B was designed to fire six rounds per minute, while the Model A fired only three rounds per minute. The Model B was more accurate than its predecessor, but it had an expensive price tag. In 1882, Winchester Arms Company introduced their own version of this firearm, which they called the Winchester Repeating Rifle model 1886. This rifle could fire up to twenty rounds per minute and had a higher firepower than any other BB gun on the market at that time. The popularity of BB guns continued to grow throughout the 20th century until they finally went out of production in 1966 due to their low ammunition prices and lack of innovation in modern firearms technology.

Parkersburg is a small town in Buchanan County, West Virginia, United States. The population was 3,724 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Buchanan County and home to the Parkersburg Convention and Visitors Bureau. The town was founded in 1828 and named after General James A. Parker, who had fought in the Mexican-American War. The first settler in what is now Parkersburg was John Hargrave, who arrived on horseback from Boston on November 10, 1827. He built a cabin on a bluff overlooking the Susquehanna River. Hargrave's cabin remains standing today as part of Parkersburg's downtown core. By 1830, other settlers had arrived in what is now Parkersburg and began to build homes. By 1834, there were over 100 people living in Parkersburg. The Town of Parksville was organized by act of Congress on April 14, 1838 under the name of "Parksburgh". The name change came about because it was decided that no two places with similar names should have the same name twice (cf., Baltimore). On December 20th of that year residents voted overwhelmingly to rename their town "Parkerstown" which they did on January 2nd 1840 In 1861 Union soldiers burned all but one building in downtown Parkersburg during an event known as "the burn". This event helped contribute to later efforts by locals to improve local infrastructure such as roads and schools. In 1865 Union troops burned down two more buildings during a raid called "the raid". Parkersburg is a small town in Morgan County, West Virginia, United States. The population was 2,611 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Morgan County. The first permanent settler in what is now Parkersburg was James Robertson from Kentucky who arrived on horseback in 1788. He named his new land "Richmond County." In 1828, John Cranch built the first large brick structure in what is now Parkersburg and became its first postmaster. A competing settlement, which grew up around it called Graysville had been founded by Andrew Griggs about two miles away near present-day McDowell Creek. However, by 1830 all of these towns were consolidated into one under the leadership of William McKinley as part of a larger effort to create a more central government for Western Virginia. In 1836, Confederate General Robert Ewell marched through Morgan County on his way to join General Ulysses S Grant at First Manassas Junction and found many abandoned farms along the way. After reaching Parkersburg he ordered all settlers to leave their homes and move back into their own houses or else be destroyed. The resulting panic caused much destruction and made it difficult for future settlers to come forward until 1846 when colonel George Washington Moore rebuilt most of the old buildings there including three churches and started issuing licenses for farming purposes In early 1861 Union troops burned down two branches of McMurray's grocery store in downtown Parkersburg after local citizens refused to provide food for them during the Civil War A tornado touched down July 3rd 1886 inside downtown parkersburg just before 10pm killing 5 people within 100 feet thereof
