Brown, who also manufactured the first shooting galleries in Morgantown. Today, Targets can be found throughout Morgantown and are a popular attraction for visitors and locals alike. The first Targets were built to provide an opportunity for citizens to shoot at moving target objects from a distance without having to go out into the community and risk getting their shots off on people or animals walking by. These early Targets served as a training ground for local members of the military and law enforcement officers, as well as providing opportunities for children to get experience with firearms while learning about responsible gun handling. From the late 1800s through the 1920s, Morgantown was home to several large rifle stores that allowed customers to bring their rifles into the store and shoot at targets provided there in addition to purchasing ammunition and other supplies needed for firing projectiles at various distances (typically 10-12 yards). This type of shooting gallery was also used by vaudeville theaters during this time period as they wanted audiences to be able to see how accurate their guns were under real live conditions rather than just watching on television or shown on film. In 1925, Mr. & Mrs. Tabor opened the first Target Store in Morgantown which quickly became one of the city’s most popular tourist attractions due its wide variety of targets including handguns (which had not yet been made legal in West Virginia), shotguns, pistols, rifles, cannons and more! Morgantown, West Virginia is a town located in Perry County, West Virginia. The population was 9,362 at the 2010 census. Morgantown is one of two towns in Perry County and it lies on the main east-west road (Route 26) which connects the eastern edge of Morgantown with Wheeling to the west. The town was founded in 1827 by settlers from Ohio who were looking for a place to settle after the Removal Act of 1785 ended British rule over North America. The town was named for General John Forbes, who fought in the American Revolution and later served as Secretary of War under George Washington. Forbes set up camp near where Morgantown now stands and called his settlement "Forbesburg." In 1830, Forbes sold land to three brothers who founded the city of Wheeling. The City of Wheeling was eventually annexed by Morgantown. In 1881, due to an increase in coal mining activity, Morgantown became known as "the most productive town in West Virginia." Coal production continued to rise until 1971 when environmentalists began protesting against mountaintop removal mining operations that were taking place within miles of Morgantowtown's downtown area. This led to a change in policy at mine operators and more selective use of explosives rather than blasting techniques which caused many buildings and homes to collapse into mineshafts during this period. After years of litigation and public pressure, Mine Owners & Operators v Greer (1986) finally resolved these issues related to collapsed mineshafts withinMRG limits without compensating any residents or injured workers

Morgantown is the largest city in West Virginia and the capital of McDowell County. The population was estimated to be over 200,000 as of 2010. Morgantown is home to the University of West Virginia, Morgantown College, and a number of other cultural attractions.
