The history of shooting protection in Washougal, Washington began with the establishment of a small post office in the town in 1887. This small post office was part of the military reservation that served the residents of what is now Washougal County. The first law enforcement officer in Washougal was hired to deal with local gun owners who did not follow state law. In 1907, a store owner decided to install safety fences around his business after being victimized by robbers who had broken into his store. The decision to secure His store led to the development of firearms regulation and safety laws in Washington State. In 1912, an ordinance was passed requiring all businesses with more than $5,000 worth of sales to have safety gates at their entrances. These stores were followed by other businesses within the next few years and it became common for businesses to set up security systems for their customers and employees alike. In 1925, a bill was passed establishing a state board of commerce which would regulate firearm manufacturers and dealers within the state. This board would also be responsible for regulating ammunition sales and possession within the state. The board’s first meeting took place on October 1st, 1925 and met until November 30th due to lack of members. On December 12th, 1925, it voted unanimously to create an ammunition dealer registry which would list all registered retailers selling Ammunition within the state as well as keep track of any changes or updates to this registry throughout the year. On February 17th 1926, it passed an ordinance banning open carry of handguns without a license from anywhere within Washington State including Washougal County! This ordinance remained in effect until July 9th 1971 when it was repealed because there were no legal challenges brought against it! On May 1st 1928, another bill was introduced into Congress known as “An Act To Regulate Firearms And Ammunition” which aimed at addressing Gun control measures that had been proposed throughout Oregon but had failed to pass during previous attempts dating back several years prior! This new bill contained provisions similar to those found in Republic Act No 11394 or “the National Firearms Act” which went into effect on January 14th 1929! These restrictions included limiting magazine capacities from 10 rounds per weapon per day (to be sure that these magazines could not be used solely for hunting) as well as outlawing any type OF firearm display or sale without prior written consent from both parties involved! As such, this act effectively banned handgun ownership by civilians outside Of Portland Oregon!! Washougal experienced its first homicide victim on October 20th 1930 when Josephine Fenton died after being shot multiple times inside her home by her husband John Fenton III? It wasn’t until 1934 that violence against women ceased completely following passage of two bills known as “The Women’s Property Bill” (H R 8751/S S 8753) and “The Married woman's Protection Bill (H R 1610/S S 1611)” respectively! These bills provided financial compensation towards victims' families who lost property due to violence against women between husband and wife!? It wasn't until 1949 that homicides increased significantly once again!? However this increase appears largely due To alcohol prohibition becoming effective during this time period!? By 1951 however homicides had decreased significantly once again!?

Washougal is a town in Skagit County, Washington, United States. The population was 1,812 at the 2010 census. Washougal is part of the Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue metropolitan area. It lies on the eastern edge of Whatcom County and is bordered by Mount Baker to its north and east, Sammamish River to its south and west, and the Olympic Mountains to its south and east. The first people in Washougal arrived in 1847 from British Columbia. They were farmers who built their homes along the riverbank near present day Washougal Falls. In 1851, they formed a company with other settlers to build a canal through what is now Bellevue as a way to bring water from Sammamish River into town. The canal was completed in 1855 but did not bring much traffic because it was difficult to get supplies into town from the mountains. In 1861, the community name was changed from "Whatcom" to "Washougal" after General George Washington Washburne (1775-1846), an American military hero who served under President James K. Polk in the Mexican–American War (1848). In 1888, washougalland post office opened with mail service from Everett via Tacoma; however it closed due to low postal rates being offered by Everett Postmaster John Worthy Sr.. In 1898, ownership passed from local residents to Puget Sound Bridge Company which started providing passenger service between Tacoma and Bellingham over Lake Washington until 1937 when that service ended as well due to Second World War restrictions on travel acrossLakeWashington; however freight services continued until 1958 when Tacoma became the new hub for Amtrak's Pacific Northwest Corridor train services between Seattle and Portland Oregon

Washougal is a city in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 16,853 at the 2010 census. Washougal is part of the Seattle–Tacoma Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is located on Lake Washington and its boundaries are Prince George's County to the east, Snohomish County to the south, and Thurston County to the north. The first permanent settler in Washougal was James McKay from New Zealand in 1851. McKay had land grant from President James Kapp of Washington Territory as an incentive for him and his family to come and live on what would become Washougal Bay. He arrived with his family on July 7, 1851, just over one year after Congress created Washington Territory. McKay homesteaded near present-day Washougal City on the eastern shore of Lake Washington and named it after himself – Washougall or "Bay of Plenty." By 1865, when most of Tacoma had been founded, much of what now makes up KingCounty had also been settled including parts of Tacoma by Scotsmen who called their new home Lochleven (the loch being Scottish for "lake"). The town growth that followed during the early years was due in large part to nearby Tacoma’s need for workers in shipbuilding, mining and other industries which were developing rapidly along Puget Sound following British Columbia’s Gold Rush period around 1858-60. In 1886/87 Tacoma annexed much of KingCounty west of Interstate 5 as part of its larger offering toKing county residents in favor of annexing more rural areas through Proposition 2 (see History: Tacoma Annexation). In 1907 Pierce County was formed from parts of King COUNTY west of I-5 including parts now within the city limits while still keeping its name based on Queen Victoria Island until 1912 when it became Pierce county proper.. The Great Depression led prices for many goods decline starting about 1930 making it difficult for people living outside major cities like Tacoma(especially millworkers)to purchase goods needed for their homes such as food or fuel etc... This situation changed during World War II with many people moving into large Cities like Seattle looking for work during wartime because there were no jobs available back home.. After 1945 many small businesses closed down due to lackof customers or competition from big companies who could easily accessible cheaper labor abroad
