One of the earliest type of self-luminous devices used as weapons was a primitive fire starter known as a "fire flambeau." Walla Walla is a city in Washington County, Oregon, United States. The population was 362 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Portland metropolitan area. The community developed around two sawmills that were built in the late 19th century to supply lumber for nearby logging operations. In addition to its Sawmill Park and Historic District, which encompasses many de Haviland-built houses dating back to 1881–1892 and including a replica of the original mill building, other attractions include: the Mount Hood Brewery (founded in 1907), Josephine Key Arena (opened in 1966), and White Cloud Resort & Casino (opened in 1998).
