The history of target holders in University Place, Washington dates back to the early 1800s. The first target holder in University Place was a piece of wood that was used to hold targets for shooting at a range. By 1825, there were two or three target holders located near the college. In 1841, a large frame building was erected on what is now the east side of the square, and it became known as the Shooting Hall. It was here that students and faculty could shoot at paper targets or make use of other equipment provided for this purpose. In 1853, a new building was constructed on the west side of University Place and it became known as the rifle Range. Here, students and faculty could shoot rifles without leaving their classrooms. From here, they could also watch matches between different teams or take part in other shooting activities. Throughout these years,target holders were used to hold various types of targets including arrows, bolts and pistols. Eventually,itwas decided thata new structure should be erected on campus in honor of Dr. George Catlett who had helped create shot-putts as an exercise with his young children in 1819-20. Accordingly,the Drayton Building (now called Fenton Hall) was built from scratch and dedicated on October 10th,1855 by Governor Cletus Claytor . It served as home to both the university’s Physical Science Department ( pu rsonnel science )and its Rifle Range until 1929 when it closed due to declining enrollment . However , throughout these years Target Holder production continued apace! Not only did manufacturers continue designing new models but also employees at some factories went door-to-door selling replacement parts for their old friends . finally ,in 1951 a brand new factory opened up downriver from where predecessor’s operated .manufacturing began again under one roof Crusade Industries Ltd., which remains active today with over 100 employees making all manner of Targets After all these years Target Holder production has still not stopped !
