The history of Sunnyside, Washington with its gun barrels can be traced back to the early 1800s when the area was a frontier outpost. A small community located in what is now Sunnyside was founded in 1824 by fur traders and explorers. The local Indians were friendly and allowed the traders to hunt and trade with them. However, as time went on, relationships between the natives and settlers deteriorated. In 1838, violence broke out between settlers and Indians after an Indian hunter killed a settler. This led to a call for military reinforcements from Governor John Quesnel. The governor arrived in Sunnyside with 4 companies of soldiers and began proceedings against the Indians. Despite attempts by both sides to broker a peace agreement, fighting continued until 1840 when all parties had withdrawn their forces. By this time, however, some of the original settlers had moved away and new ones had been brought in by European entrepreneurs who wanted to start new lives in what was then known as Pioneer Valley. One such newcomer was James Mclntyre who purchased land near where Sunnyside now stands from George Stephenson in 1845. Mclntyre began construction on his dream home which would later become known as Sunnyside Heights. As development continued throughout the 1850s, guns became more common among residents of Pioneer Valley due to an increase in tensions over land ownership and other issues that arose during this era of America’s westward expansion. Gun barrel production also grew because there were no restrictions on importing firearms into America at this time so colonists could purchase whatever they desired without worrying about government regulation or taxation quotas set by Great Britain. As gun barrel production increased throughout Northwest America during this period, so too did demand for these products within Sunnyside itself – meaning that even today’s residents still enjoy access to these unique objects that have helped define their community for generations!

Sunnyside is an unincorporated community in King County, Washington, United States. It is located on the border of Sunnyside and Ballard neighborhoods. It has a population of about 350 as of 2007. The first European to visit Sunnyside was Captain Vancouver on July 25, 1792 while exploring the Strait of Juan de Fuca in search for new land north of Vancouver Island. He named the place "New Spain" after his Spanish possessions in North America. In 1848, Swedish immigrant Anders Nilsson built a sawmill and gristmill at what is now Sunnyside Village; he also farmed land there until his death in 1875. In 1886, James Waddell bought some land from Nilsson for $1,000 and founded Sunnyside Village as a small town with a school and store. A post office was established at Sunnyside Village in 1888, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1935. The first resident doctor was Dr. John Hildebrandt who practiced medicine there from 1889 to 1895; he also served as mayor from 1895 to 1898. Sunnyside became an unincorporated community on October 1, 1951 when its portion of King County were merged into the larger county.. As part of annexation by King County occurred during 1955-1956 all villages within King County were annexed one by one with no warning given to residents or any means given for resistance or Delay
