Shoreline is a census-designated place located in Thurston County, Washington, United States. The population was 2,719 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Seattle metropolitan area. The community was founded on the shore of Lake Union, which extended into Puget Sound to the north and east. Shoreline grew around two schools, Lakeside School and Harborview High School.
