Seatac is a town in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 7,811 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of King County and home to Seatac Airport. The airport serves as the main gateway for travel into and out of Seattle and Tacoma metropolitan areas. The first commercial airport inKing County was built in 1919 by Boeing Aircraft Corporation as an auxiliary field for Seattle Municipal Airport. In 1937, Boeing merged with other airlines to become Northwest Airlines and then Pan American Airways. Northwest purchased Seatac Municipal Airport from the City of Seatac in 1948. In 1959, Northwest Airlines merged with United Airlines to form United-Northwest Airlines Company (UNI). On November 2, 1960, UNI leased Seattle's third runway from Seattle Municipal Airport so that it could offer scheduled passenger service to Portland, Oregon; however this service never began because of the city's bankruptcy that same year.[1] Instead, UNI operated general aviation services at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport until 1971 when they became part of Air America Incorporated. In 1978 Air America merged with American Flight Services which had been founded by Captain Carl postmaster General Wiley Post on October 15th[2] With these changes came increased competition for local airports as well as new carriers looking to establish service at these locations including Alaska Airlines who opened its first hub at Sea-Tac in 1987[3][4]. In 1990 Northrop Grumman Corporation acquired American Flights which had been spun off from Air America Incorporated and renamed Northrop Grumman 1991 Holdings Co., Ltd.. This company was responsible for all air traffic control activities at SEA-TAC including tower designating/designee operations,[5][6] airspace management,[7] aircraft registration/identification technology development,[8] ground support services including firefighting and security forces,[9][10] marketing research & customer surveys among others activities until their divestiture by BellSouthCommunications Corporation effective February 1st 2002[11]. At this time all assets were divested along with tower maintenance hangar space being sold off to LearJet Aviation under the name Lear Regional Wing Management Facility since lease expired December 31st 2001[12]; however once leases were renewed through 2006 they only managed hangar space until July 2007 when LearJet closed down due to budget cuts within BellSouthcommunications Corporation effective January 1st 2007[13], leaving Seatac without any major air carrier services during its peak years while Interjet served as both primary source deregistration airport provider serving both SEA-TAC & kiosk registrations thru IFR operation providing Single Operator Terminal access airspace throughout most times except during LHR departures or arrivals whenever those are handled by gate agent based EASTERN WAVE REDEFINED SERVICE(EWR)

Seatac is a small town located in Inland Empire, California. The population was 9,812 at the 2010 census. It is part of the San Gabriel Valley statistical area. The first Europeans to visit Seatac were Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo and his crew on their vessel "San Salvador" on October 14, 1542. They sailed past what is now Seatac on their way back fromfinding new land in Mexico City. Seatac was founded by George Washington in 1792 as a sawmill town named for General Washington's older brother-in-law, James Alexander Fraser. The mill closed in 1849 and was replaced by a gristmill which continued operation until 1911. After the death of President George Washington in 1800, his remains were brought from Mount Vernon to Seatac where they were interred with others of President Washington's family members in Spring Hill Cemetery near White House and Second Avenue (later renamed Independence Mall). His wife Martha had also been buried there before her death two years later. In 1875, local businessmen established the Western Pacific Railroad at milepost 7 or so east of present day Seatac along what is now Interstate 5 (then called US 101). To commemorate this event they erected a stone plaque that still stands today reading: "West Coast Railway – First Built At Seataco". The railroad leased land adjoining the cemetery for station building and passenger services starting on May 1, 1916; however no freight trains ever ran through Seataco because it was too close to Los Angeles County lines. Passenger service ended abruptly on July 16th 1966 when Amtrak discontinued all operations between Los Angeles and Seattle due to budget cuts. The last train left LA Station at 12:30pm PDT bound for Everett WA but due to poor weather conditions reached Everett only after midnight PDT! Today an access road leads from I-5 southbound just past milepost 8 (exit 118) towards downtown Seataca - making it possible for tourists to explore old factory buildings including Grinder & Saw Mill #2 which still grinds lumber today!
The first white person to set foot on what is now Seatac, Washington, was George Vancouver in 1792. He and his convoy of ships explored the Puget Sound region before landing at what is now Tacoma.
