Gun locks were first invented in 1876 by Samuel Colt and his partner John Brownell. gun lock patent application # 5,895, filed on October 21, 1876 is one of the earliest known patents for a firearm lock. The first modern shotgun keylock was created by Gustav Reinhold Fechner in 1898. Shotguns were then becoming more popular and it became necessary to secure them with gunlocks. Some early shotgun keylocks used a padlock or combination lock to operate. Gun locks became common after World War I when shotguns began being banned in many countries. During World War II,gun locks were used to secure millions of rifles and shotguns which were imported into the United States from foreign countries. Many gunlock manufacturers survived the war but many others did not. After the war, many new companies emerged that manufactured firearms keys and other firearm accessories. The popularity of firearms has made it difficult for any one company to monopolize the market for these products so gun locks continue to be produced in various forms today.

Seatac is a small town in the Puget Sound area of Washington, United States. The population was 1,812 at the 2010 census. Situated on the north side of White Pass River, Seatac is one of the oldest towns in Washington State and home to many Pike Place Market businesses. It is also known for its annual Christmas parade which begins and ends at Mt. Vernon Park and features floats, music, and more than 20 different types of marching bands. Seatac was founded by pioneers John McClellan and James Crain in 1811 as a trading post on the northern bank of the White Pass River. It became an important stop for travelers on their way to or from British Columbia before becoming a thriving agricultural community with stores, churches, schools and a post office. By 1853 it had become an incorporated city with a population of over 2,500 people. In 1907 it merged with nearby Wenatchee to form Seatac-Wenatchee City; however this merger failed when both cities declined to agree to certain changes made by the state legislature regarding voting districts within their boundaries (the merged municipalities were granted charters that allowed them to keep their own independent police forces). In 1925 when King County began annexing adjacent villages into its jurisdiction—a process known as " annexation "—Seatac applied for annexation but was turned down because its chief economic interest lay within Wenatchee City proper. A year later though it again applied but this time received approval from county commissioners after proving that its streets were wide enough for cars without obstructing traffic flow or causing damage; furthermore,Sitacus promise not to compete economically with Wenatchee City's large shopping center which was then under construction across White Pass Boulevard near what is now downtown Seattl
There are many different types of gun locks, but the most common type is a key lock. Gun locks work by requiring a key to enter and exit the lock. The locked firearm can then only be unlocked with the correct key. It is important to note that not all gun locks are this simple, and some require a combination or other security measure. The first gun lock was invented in 1793 by Nicholas-Jacques Conte. This invention allowed forguns to be stored safely without having to worry about them being stolen or lost. However, it was not until 1857 that the first riflelock was created. This Lock consisted of two parts: The Triggerguard and the Barrel shrouds were attached together through screws and held in place with rivets (See Figure 1). The next significant development in firearm locking occurred in 1875 when Lanchester patented his “Gun Lock” system (Figure 2). This inventionallowed firearms to be locked using either keys or combinations instead of simply using screws/rivets. Lanchester also designed what is now known as an “adjustable trigger brake” which could be used to vary how hard or soft the pull on the trigger was felt (See Figure 3). This device allowed for rifles of different calibers and rates of fire to be locked together without having to use separate keys for each caliber/rate of fire! Lanchester’s invention helped increase safety within firearms by making it easier for owners to keep their guns safe from thieves and loss.

Seatac was founded in 1881 by J.D. Rockefeller and his brother Adolphus W. Rockefeller, Jr. The name Seatac is derived from the Salish word "seat" meaning "a platform." The original seatac station was located on the north side of 7th Avenue NW, near Interstate 5, and served as a general store and post office. In 1907, the station was moved to its current location on 9th Avenue NE, near Interstate 5, and became an important transportation hub for the area. In 1969, Seatac underwent a major renovation which included the construction of a new train yard and terminal building. The renovation also added a new dining area and public art collection. In 2003, Seatac celebrated its centennial anniversary with a series of events including an exhibition of historical photographs and artifacts from the station's history; tours of the terminal building; anda concert by local rock band Kneadplugged at Seattle Center Arena
On July 1, 1892, Seatac was incorporated as a town in King County, Washington. Seatac is located on the north shore of Puget Sound and is adjacent to Bellevue and Issaquah. The town's population was 2,849 at the 2010 census.
