In 1946, Seatac annexed part of neighboring Puyallup which had a population of 521 people at that time. In 1970, seatacs merged with neighbouring Untertangen to form one community which continued to use its own name until 1984 when it assumed the present name of Seatac. Seatac contains two public schools: Park View Elementary School and South Sound High School. They are also home to many small businesses and services within their boundaries including churches (Stryker Lutheran Church & Presbyterian Church), parks (Lake Union Community Park), factories (Seattleshire Paper Company), and several homes built by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen
