Redmond, Washington is a city in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 71,907 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of King County and the second most populous city in Washington after Seattle. Redmond's slogan is "The City of Technology". The city was founded in 1853 by John H. Redmond as a trading post on Puget Sound. In 1912, it became an incorporated municipality with a population of 20,000 people and since then has grown to over 100,000 residents and businesses. Redmond's history dates back to 1853 when John H. Redmond founded the trading post on Puget Sound which he called "Redmond Station" in honor of his father-in-law Ebenezer Swanston who had served as governor of British Columbia during the early days of that country's Confederation and also owned land adjoining Redmonds Station including what is now known as Bellevue Avenue (now North Capitol Street). On November 1st 1854 local mills closed because no additional flour could be found at Tacoma Bay due to low levels of salt water brought over by ships loading up with grain from Asia and other parts of the world; thereby ending Tacoma Mill & Elevator Company's 17 year business monopoly on flour exportation through Puget Sound! In 1865 when Spokane did not yet exist as an independent city it was annexed into King County...the first time annexation had ever been attempted by eitherKing County or Spokane City! At its incorporation on January 3rd 1912 Redmond had a population established at 20,000 People who lived within 5 blocks or so surrounding downtown where their shops lay scattered among several streets north/south/ east/west US 101 etc., but today only one block remains within downtown boundaries between First & Second Avenues… this block now contains Microsoft’s old main building (First Ave & NE 50th St), adjacent apartments (NE 99th St) & multiple restaurants (& bars) all linked together via underground pedestrian tunnels under First Ave! The community around downtown rapidly grew due to Binghamton Railroad being built through town connecting Everett with Seattle via Lake Forest College just south of town along NE 50th Street which opened in 1863 making it possible for goods coming into town from agricultural districts such as Yakima Valley and Des Moines Valley to reach market leaders such as Seattle before being shipped downriver across Elliott Bay for shipment outbound again all without having to go through Tacoma Mill! This allowed farmers access directly to key port facilities throughout Puget Sound instead of having their goods convoyed downriver then loaded onto small boats heading outbound only for them subsequently being unloaded at large terminals located near Olympia before finally reaching your house if you were living close enough!) With advances in transportation things began moving more quickly than ever before becoming easier said than done however thanks largely to railroad entrepreneurs like George Stephenson along with others like Moses Halstead who saw potential value in connecting Everett with Seattle bypassing Tacoma traffic jams Thanks Moses we're now able to walk our dog right next door to SRI International while they are handling some big customer accounts worthy OF double digits SRN!!! Of course there have always been those few too afraid or greedy Special interests that continue exploiting our natural resources hereinafter noted….. however overall my fellow citizens have always shown incredible willingness & patience thru thick& thin no matter how much good has come about from technological advancements!!

Gun targets history in Redmond, Washington began with a man named George H. Dyson, who opened his first ammunition store in 1892. The store was located on the corner of Tenth and Lewis streets. In 1903, Dyson opened a second store on the same location. He continued to sell ammunition until 1911 when he sold his business to A.H. Smith & Wesson. In 1921, A.H. Smith & Wesson moved their headquarters from Arsenal Place to a new building on Southeast First Street near Interstate 5 (I-5). This building served as the company's headquarters until it was decommissioned in 1984 and demolished. In 1949, recoil spring manufacturer American National Firearms Company relocated its offices from Bellevue Avenue in Seattle to Redmond after purchasing the former King Arms Ammunition plant there (KAA had been founded in 1918 by Harry Prentice). KAA continued operations until 1958 when it merged with Remington Arms Incorporated and became Remington-Rand Corporation Headquarters were moved again to Bellevue Avenue in Seattle following that company's sale to Colt Industries Incorporated in 1959)
