On January 1st 1957 all villages withinKingCounty were dissolved and annexed intoSnohomishCounty including Redmond which had been a part Of Snohomish since 1895 In 1984 Microsoft announced their intention to move their Headquarters out of Seattle due mainly to economic reasons but they decided against it after some community outcry caused by noise pollution levels at their current location
