The last resident of Boeing Field moved out in 1959 and most of the buildings remain standing today: a hangar used by NASA until 1974, an industrial park housing numerous businesses including Safeway grocery store and several VFW posts dating back to World War I are also part of this airport complex which includes runways 10/18L/27R (the longest being 9500 ft), taxiways A2X & A3X & apron B1X/B2X currently serve as de facto satellite airports for Everett-Tacoma International Airport serving all Pierce County residents without leaving our city limits
