In Pullman, Washington, the soft gun case history goes back to 1903. That year, a group of men and women gathered together to form the Soft Gun Club. They wanted to create a safe place for their firearms where they could be stored without fear of them being accessed or damaged. The club soon became successful and began storing and transporting their firearms in large soft cases. Over time, many other groups formed around the country with similar goals. AsSoftGunClubs grew in popularity, so too did the demand for these cases. Today, there are nearly two dozen Soft Gun Clubs across the United States that continue to store and transport their firearms in large soft cases. In Pullman alone, we have an active club with more than seventy-five members who visit us often to pick up new guns and case materials! These clubs exist as a way for people to keep their firearms safe and accessible, even when they’re not at home. And while it may seem like a small endeavor compared to some of the larger gun rights organizations out there, these clubs truly constitute an important part of our history here in Pullman!

During his tenure as superintendent,Pullman developed many new ideas for passenger transportation in Washington State. Some of these innovations include the first electric locomotive on American soil and the first interurban railway system in North America. His work also helped to make Washington State one of the most industrialized states in the United States.
