The Pullman rifle company was founded in 1892 by George Pullman. The company manufactured rifles and shotguns, as well as ammunition and equipment for the military. In 1916, the Pullman Rifle Company became a subsidiary of Winchester Repeating Arms Company. In 1934, Winchester Repeating Arms merged with Remington Arms Company to form Winchester-Remington Corporation. In 1946, Remington-Winchester Corporation merged with Peacemaker Firearms Corporation to become Double Action Sports Corporation (DASCO). DASCO continued manufacturing firearms until it was acquired by Capital Armory Holdings Incorporated in 1984. Capital Armory Holdings Incorporated is now known as American Outdoor Brands Incorporated (AOBI). Since its founding, the Pullman Rifle Company has been involved in many firearm innovations and products. One of these products was the development of the muzzle brake system for rifles. The Pullman Rifle and Pistol Club was founded in 1881. The club had two rifles, a revolver, and fifty pistols. The club met at the home of Mr. John Fife on 6th street south.
Pullman was an unincorporated community in King County, Washington, United States. It was located on the north side of the Mount Baker Road between the towns of Buckley and Redmond. The community had a post office from 1889 to 1912. The community was named for Pullman, Illinois, where many of its residents came from. A small settlement near Pullman developed as workers brought their families down from Illinois during the construction of the Union Pacific Railroad in 1887-88. In 1892, a store and hotel were built; these continued to be used until 1915 when they were destroyed by fire. In 1918, pullman Pioneer Schools opened with students from Buckley and Redmond; this continued until 1964 when all schools in King County closed due to budget cuts. The last student at Pioneer School was Mrs. Jane Wehner in 1984. As of 2018 there are no remnants remaining of Pullman or any associated buildings

Firearms owners started wearing pistols on their heads in an effort to signal to others that they had permission to carry firearms. Pistol caps began becoming increasingly popular throughout the 19th century until they completely replaced firemen's hats in the early 20th century. During World War I, many American servicemen adopted rifle helmets as part of their uniformed appearance. These rifle helmets offered additional protection against head trauma while serving in war-torn countries such as Europe. Rifle hat companies emerged during World War II to produce new types of firearms hat designs specific to military use such as those used by Assault Marines and Air Force pilots. Many modern firearm hat manufacturers exist today, including ones focused on NRA member support such as Hat Inc., Gun Owners Hats Inc., Western Sportsman's Hat Co., and Shooter's Cap Company.

In 1905, the company merged with the Spokane, Tacoma and Seattle Railroad to become the Washington Central Railroad. In 1911, Central Railroad severed its relationship with the Chicago-Seattle railway and became an independent railroad under its own name. In 1912, pullmans were used on excursions along the tracks of both railways until they were discontinued in favor of diesel locomotives in 1918. In 1971, when Amtrak took over all passenger service on American Railroads,PullmanRailroad Depot became their Headquarters at 4th Street NE in Downtown Bellevue while our old Administration Building continued to serve as a storage facility until it was demolished during renovations that began auspiciously enough on September 15th of that year... Since then we have had only freight service which I believe will continue for some time yet because our current facilities are not able to handle increased traffic levels that we experience here at Capitol Hill Station (the original terminus). It should be noted also that since Amtrak pulled out most of their commuter trains from Bellevue except for one or two daily trips there has been quite an increase (upwards)in truck traffic coming into town which has made access onto Route 7 pretty much impossible without having your car towed away! Although admittedly this Marshall Lawton story about suing Amtrak over this isn't very exciting it does illustrate how important it is for us as small businesses like ourselves who rely heavily on visitors coming through town to maintain our business!
In 1881, the first Pullman car arrived in Washington. The cars were made of wood and used to transport employees of the Pullman Railway Company. The company began providing transportation for people in Washington in 1892.
