Scope mounts are devices that allow a rifle to be permanently attached to a shooting platform, such as an armchair. The first type of scope mount was the swivel mount, which allowed the shooter to rotate their rifle around a vertical axis. This was the most common type of scope mount until the development of the monopod/stick Scope Mount in 1967. The second type of scopemount was the telescopic sight mount. This allowed for magnification up to×50mm and required use of a telescope or spotting scope with an equatorial carriage system. In 1984, two brothers named Roy and Dan Sorenson developed what is now known as the Port Angeles Rifle Scope Mount (PARC). In 1892, the first expansion of the port in Port Angeles was made possible by a donation from General John C. Bennett. The new Refrigerated Storage and Export Company was created to increase trade between Seattle and Tacoma. The company built an export depot and warehouse on First Avenue North in 1895, and began shipping goods out of the port. In 1898, it became evident that the company needed more space, so it moved to Tenth Avenue North and Eastgate Street. By 1902, the company had expanded again, this time constructing a wharf on Fourth Avenue South near Olympia Boulevard. It continued shipping freight until World War II when production ended due to scarce resources.
Port Angeles, Washington is a small town in the central United States. The population was 4,693 at the 2010 census. It is located on Puget Sound and is bordered to the north by Seattle and to the east by King County. According to the 2010 census, Port Angeles has a total area of 18 square miles (49 km²). The name "Port Angeles" comes from two related places - one near where it now stands, and another much further upriver. In 1792 Lt. John Jacob Astor sailed his ship The Olympia into Puget Sound for what would become his famous fur trade monopoly with China; he named his new port after patron saint Our Lady of Mount Olympus in Rome – hence "Olympia." After Astor's death in 1853, his heirs sold part of their interest in the company to Nicholas Longworth who renamed it "Longworth Harbor." For many years thereafter Port Angeles served as an important transportation stop on Tacoma-Seattle highway travel between these two cities. In 1907, Snohomish County was created from portions of Kitsap County including Whatcom Strait and Harbord Island. At that time Port Angeles became its county seat and early development focused on expanding Snohomish Lake so that more people could live thereabouts while still being within municipal boundaries. However, during World War II most growth took place outside of town limits due to military facilities developed nearby: Fort Lewis Naval Base on Elliott Bay just northeast of town limits opened in 1942; then Evergreen Air Force Base Annex began operations at nighportage off Everett Boulevard just south of town limits in 1948; and lastly Joint Task Force Northwest which functioned out of Cheney Army Air Field until its closure in 1974 followed by similar closures at Stewart Army Air Field (now Cheney Airport) and Wickenburg Army Airfield (now Boeing Field) – all within a few miles of downtown Port Angeles proper! The only major facility remaining today open inside city limits is Tsimshian Lakeshore Community College which was founded in 1984 as a merger between four local community colleges: Eastern Shore Community College (later Eastsound Community College), Western Shores Community Colleges District School District No. 1 (later Westsound Community College), Central Kitsap Community Colleges District School District No. 2 (later Central Kitsap Community Colleges District), and Kitsap Maritime Academy; but educational opportunities are very limited outside the college gates! As recently as 1990 there were only 283 people living within City Limits; however since then Census counts have shown rapid population growth with 3,567 residents counted in 2010! All told this means that during any given 10-year period over 50%of all citizens have moved into/throughout City Limits!!! And although Sturgeon Bay experienced some modest growth rates following annexation by City Limits back (#2 annexing #1) over time overall attitudes towards annexed communities remain quite lukewarm….. yet they continue to puppet Mayor Botkin regardless! Within Municipal boundaries things are considerably different though: Downtown Crossing contains both an elementary school serving grades K-4th along with a high school & post office making it home to some pretty serious amenities for youngsters such as an ice rink & movie theater complex (& web store); also located here is Oneonta’s first shopping center complete with full featured grocery store & several dozen other businesses (!); while North End features large warehouses used principally for storage by local farmers but providing some interesting urban fringe attractions such as an art gallery (!), microbrewery (& taproom!), bowling alley (!), & restaurant (!). Finally Stinson Beach features a mix of commercial waterfront areas occupied primarily by fishermen handling their catch while inland warehouse complexes hosting various industrial activities support both residential neighborhoods ashore (+/- blocks) along Tacoma Avenue NE&Bellevue Way SW&Northside Road NW&Westshore Drive SE

The city's growth led to problems however - many of these new arrivals were not well-educated or able to handle the rigors of American life. In 1907,Port Angeles' mayor tried to get the city into bankruptcy but this attempt failed when a group of business owners donated $1 million towards improving infrastructure and creating jobs for locals. During World War I, Port Angeles played an important role in supplying munitions for military efforts throughout Seattle and other Northwest cities. As America entered World War II, Port Angeles again saw heavy bombing raids from Japanese planes – including one which caused extensive damage to buildings within downtown on December 7th 1941. After war ended there was much redevelopment with many new businesses opening up along with more education opportunities for local residents – ultimately leading to increased economic stability and population growth throughout the years until recently
The town of Port Angeles, Washington was founded in 1853 by Captain John Sibley and his wife, Ann. They named the town after their homeport of San Francisco. The first post office in Port Angeles was established in 1854. In 1865, the town became a county seat and remained so until 1907.
