Today, Pasco is known for its several popular attractions: its beautiful parks including Snoqualmie Lake Park (with a 1/4 mile long water slide), Piscataquis National Monument - home of over 100 types of lizards - White Sands Missile Range - home to American Malamutes - Olympic Village - which features an arts center, multiplexes, restaurants and shops, as well as being ground zero for America's Cup racing; its major thoroughfare Third Avenue S., lined with large-scale retail outlets like Macy's and Sears; as well as its annual Fourth of July fireworks display located just east of downtown near Spokane Falls Blvd.

Pasco is a town in King County, Washington, United States. Pasco was founded by the Treaty of Blaine on July 9, 1852. As of the 2010 census, the population was 24,946. The name "Pasco" means "big Paska" in the Koxia language. The first permanent settler in Pasco was John Bennett who arrived with his family on May 25, 1851. He platted and named the town after his home state of Pennsylvania where he had been born and raised. In 1853, during the Oregon Territory rush for land north of the Columbia River, settlers from British Columbia arrived at Pasco and soon after organized as a company called The Vancouver Company. The new settlement grew rapidly and by 1860 it had over 100 residents; however due to its isolated location it never became a city. In 1861–1862 Captain George Vancouver led an expedition upriver to survey and map out potential sites for a new town in what is now King County along side Puget Sound. After returning from this venture Captain Vancouver recommended that Pasco be named for him because of its large area – approximately square miles – compared to other towns located nearby such as Seattle or Tacoma. On July 9th 1852, at 4:00 PM local time (US Eastern Daylight Time), representatives from 20 towns across America gathered at Fort Point on Puget Sound to create what would become known as the Great Northwest Land Grant Agreement which granted parcels of land east of Portland to Washington State in exchange for financial compensation and military assistance during their war against Mexico (1848-1853). This agreement marked not only Washington's first official annexation into America but also provided justification for its efforts later in the century to expand into present-day Oregon proper via treaties with Canada and Mexico (the Mexican War). Aftermaths of World War II showed that much more land than initially anticipated was needed for military installations so on April 17th 1945 President Harry S Truman signed Executive Order 9066 ordering all American citizens subject to US jurisdiction whether they were living inside or outside our borders to vacate any property within three miles of any military installation without giving advance notice or payment; this order represented an enormous expansionist effort by our government towards globalization which we continue today withparamilitaryinstallations near every populated area aroundthe world including many small towns like Pasco! When looking back over history it must be appreciated that there has always been some typeof resistance against imperialism both before and after WWII while there have been some great successes such as creating roads and bridges etc.; however ultimately these advances come with costs paid by those who are behind them including Jobsites like Pasco!
