After two years of operation as a day school, the first high school class graduated in 1892 under the guidance of Superintendent John Hieatt In 1903, High School moved to its current location which included an auditorium/ gymnasium and became known as "The Queen's School" because it was one block from what would become downtown Mukilteo In 1921 Congress passed legislation providing for public education through high schools within King County including Mukilteo which began operations with grades 9-12 High School closed in 1986 but continued operations through private schools until 1992 when it merged with Tacoma's Loch Raven High School creating what is now Tsukuba Middle School At present there are only elementary (K-4) students at The Queen's School while secondary (5-9) students attend Loch Raven High School across the street where they share an auditorium/gymnasium with their junior high counterparts

Mukilteo also features a strong educational component with several public schools within walking distance of most residents as well as private schools that offer various programs such as arts & crafts, technology education or business administration courses among others.

After the war, the town gradually declined as industry moved into newer suburbs around it. However, due to its importance as a commercial center during both times of great growth for Mukilteo, the town has retained some of its former glory today.
