The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) regulates the sale, possession and use of firearms in the United States. After passage of the Gun Control Act of 1968 this regulation was amended to include modified versions of assaultguns such as fully automatic rifles and shotguns that cannot be registered because they fall under title 12 USC §§ 825 et seq. This amendment made it difficult for people who wanted to purchase these types of firearms without registering them first. In 1990 ATF finalized its regulations governing all handguns under section 924(a) which pertains to machineguns that have beenmanufactured or imported after September 29, 1986 without prior registration with State or Federal law enforcement agencies having jurisdiction over those devices). This final rule replaced portions of previously published rules pursuant to Executive Order 12866 issued December 15, 1993 entitled "Regulating Machineguns." The goal behind this order was to reduce violence through regulation rather than mere prohibition or registration requirements

Mukilteo is a town in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 8,854 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Seattle metropolitan area. Mukilteo is on Puget Sound and bordered by Issaquah to the east, Bellevue to the south, and Lynnwood to the west. Mukilteo's history dates back to 1847 when three men named John Gammon laid out a township on what is now Mukilteo Peninsula. The name Mukilteo was chosen because it could be translated as "headland" or "shore." In 1881, a post office was established at Mukilteo after David McKay purchased land from John Gammon for $1 per acre. By 1907, there were 9 residents and 2 businesses in Mukilteo. On January 1, 1907, an act authorizing creation of cities and towns within King County was approved by voters at a special election held that year. The new municipalities were authorized to levy their own taxes and had no relationship with Mukilteo Township or its post office which continued to function as an unincorporated community until 1959. On July 1, 1959 all incorporated communities within King County became city/towns with powers similar to those of their respective county governments including taxation and street names but without voting rights or representation in council meetings like towns did before 1957-an arrangement that continued until 1995 when city/town status was revoked for all but Seattle City Council members who still served as Town Councilmembers in individual village form (the first time this happened). Mukilteo experienced rapid growth following annexation by Seattle in 1950 due largely to military bases being stationed there during World War II (the town had been designated as Naval Auxiliary Air Station Tacoma which housed Boeing Aircraft plants) and then later the Pike Place Market redevelopment which created more jobs than could be found anywhere else inKing County outside of Seattle itself creating demand for housing; however growth halted abruptly around 1970 due mainly to recession brought about by oil production declines worldwide whileSeattle's economy stabilized The current housing crisis began here too: With job market struggles continuing into 2018 prices have increased 50%. In addition almost every house built since annexation has sold since 2007 making it difficult for most people living here today even if they can afford it given rents are already up 50%. While some people may see this situation as an opportunity developers have responded with offers of large homes priced under $400K starting recently Mayor Tim Burgess has called for an ordinance regulating how much apartments can be built in certain areas near schools so family units can remain intact . Despite these challenges many people live here full time or intermittently because they cannot afford anything else outside of basic needs such as food stamps
