Mountlake Terrace is a small town in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 1,968 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Seattle–Tacoma metropolitan area. The Mountlake Terrace School District encompasses all of Mountlake Terrace and parts of Ballard and Everett. The first settler in what is now Mountlake Terrace was James Cook in 1851. Cook named his land after himself, Mountlake Head or simply "Mountlake". In 1853, John Wesley Elliott founded the Elliott farm on what is now the north side of town. In 1865, Danforth Hennepin built a sawmill on Puget Sound near present-day Pioneer Square. The mill became known as Hennepin Mill and later changed its name to Mountlake Mill (an Anglicization of its original name). After Hennepin's death in 1875, his widow sold half her interest to George Wright for $3,000 (). Wright renamed the mill Mount Pleasant Mills Ltd., but it closed operations in 1924 due to low productivity. A new mill was started by David Thomson in 1928 and continued until it closed in 1982 due to financial difficulties. At this point, most production ceased altogether because of competition from aluminum plants upstream and downstream on Lake Union Boulevard which were opening up at that time; also aluminum prices had increased greatly since 1928 relative to earlier prices. On July 16th 1915 an incendiary device detonated over Mt Pleasant Mills while workers were unloading sacks of flour off a truck; this caused severe damage within the mill which required extensive repairs before reopened two years later with more modern equipment under new management including electric lighting and air conditioning; however closure following this bombing made it one of the last mills outside Seattle to go out of business during that era – though some still operate today (e example: Kiewit Aluminum) . Finally reopening brought about immense social change for many residents as many people lost their jobs due to World War II and resulting technological advancements when USS Tacoma bombed Mt Pleasant Mills shortly afterwards with incendiary bombs causing extensive damage resulting in loss-of-life among both employees working inside as well as those living near by – an event commemorated annually by local caterers/bistros who offer roast beef sandwiches made from bits left over from previous year's sandwich night

The use of tasers dates back to at least 1879 when an Italian inventor named Luigi Brega filed a patent for an electric shock gun that he had developed. This device consisted of an elongated metal tube filled with a battery and a coil of wire that was triggered by a contact on the barrel of the gun. The earliest examples of tasers deployed in police forces around the world occurred during World War II in Japan where they were known as “Kawasaki Stuns” after the manufacturer from which they were sourced. In 1951, Denmark made their own version of the Kawasaki Stun Gun which became known as “Danish Stun Guns” after its release there. In 1973, British Police Service (BPS) began using taser guns equipped with dogs instead of human beings as part of their rapid response tactics program called Project Canary ( afterwards code-named EOD). At first these dog-teaming operations took place outside under controlled conditions; however, this changed when it was discovered that dogs could not naturally resist being shocked if they perceived danger within sight or hearing range Of course this approach did come with some risks; one such incident saw two handlers killed while attempt to control two attacking dogs while they remained unharmed on May 3rd 1984 at Selly Oak Common near Birmingham England[1]. After years experimentation both in policing applications and research into how best to deploy these weapons, Australian Defence Force deployed Australia's very first Taser Weapon system – nicknamed "Crocodile" – on October 13th 1994 during Exercise Militare Ruta Luchtwormt (Ruta Luchtwormt), which operated out of RAAF Base Amberley NSW Australia[2]. It should be noted that until then all Australian military firearms had been fired from closed bolt mode only calibers .25 & .30 ACP [3] . However due to post 9/11 security measures various calibers including 5 rounds each for pistols & revolvers have now become available for purchase by civilians across Australia

Mountlake Terrace is part of the Seattle–Tacoma metropolitan area. It borders Seattle to the east, Tacoma to the north, Bellevue to the northwest, and Issaquah to the south. The first people who settled in what is now Mountlake Terrace were Native Americans. They called it Tsilhqotl because it was high enough for them to see over their village and watch the sea from their home on top of the hill. The first white man to live in what is now Mountlake Terrace was Captain George Vancouver and his crew who came ashore in 1792 while exploring Puget Sound. They named their settlement after Sir John Franklin's ship HMS Erebus which had been lost at sea near Greenland many years earlier. After European exploration of Canada began in 1807, British traders visited Washington Territory including Mountlake Terrace more than once during that period looking for new land to exploit and expand their empire. In 1814, following diplomatic negotiations between Russia and Britain resulting from Napoleonic Wars, Oregon became a United States territory under Mexican rule but this did not affect Mountlake Terrance as it remained within British Columbia until 1850 when Mexico ceded control of all its possessions west of Baja California Peninsula including Oregon Island with Mount Lake Tahoe included in that boundary change as well In 1851 Congress passed an act providing for mail service between Portland, Oregon and points east across Canada through Unalaska Bay which lay within Ulysses S Grant's newly acquired Alaska Territory; however no such route existed then or ever didexistent except insofar as Unalaska Peninsula was concerned On July 24th 1870 a group led by Lester Pyle reached Victoria Harbor on Cape Flattery (later renamed Ptarmigan) off Juan de Fuca Island after crossing via Strait Of Georgia several times during previous weeks sailing around North America on open boats unsupported by any organized effort other than chance encounters It has been generally accepted that this first attempt by humans everto set foot on mainland North America failed miserably due primarily to bad weather conditions which prevented even simple tasks like disembarking passengers and goods from being possible .
