The Moses Lake Shooting Range opened in 1953, and has been the home of the Washington State Pistol Team ever since. The range is a wooded NRA certified gun range that has a variety of pistols from .22 LR to 9mm. The range also offers classes for all ages, including beginner and intermediate levels. In addition to pistol shooting, the range also offers rifle ranges for both handguns and rifles. Rifle shooting at the Moses Lake Shooting Range includes both indoor and outdoor ranges. Since 1952, Hearing Protection Devices (HPD) have been required on all protected areas in Washington State as part of state law requirements that promote hearing conservation. HPD are devices that protect hearing by rejecting sound waves before they reach your eardrums. Most HPDs use components made from metal or plastic so they can be attached to clothing or helmets to reduce noise exposure while you shoot. In1993, the Washington State Pistol Team began using electronic ear muffs with built-in amplifiers called EHHMs (Electronic Hawaiian Headphones). These ear muffs allow shooters to hear their gunshots much better than traditional earmuffs because they reject SPL (sound pressure level) signals before they reach your ears. With these new earmuffs, shooters can now focus on their target without having high SPL signals interfering with their shot enjoyment!

Moses Lake is a small, unincorporated community in King County, Washington, United States. The community is located on the north shore of Moses Lake, between Painter and Stevens counties. As of the 2010 census, its population was 1,848. It lies within the Moses Lake Micropolitan Statistical Area.
Slapshot shooting was a sport that used to be popular in the United States. The sport involved taking aim at an opponent with a bow and arrow, releasing the arrow before it can hit the target. There were two types of Slapshot shootings- long range and close range. The long range Slapshot shooting was done over distances up to 100 yards, while close range Slapshots were done within 25 yards of each other. The use of ear protection became common during the early days of slapping shots when arrows could travel as far as 150 yards or more. Ear protection became mandatory for all shooters by the late 1800s when accurate bows and arrows were no longer available in large numbers. Unfortunately, many people continued to use unprotected ears because they believed that it would protect them from harm if they got hit by an arrow flying too far away. The first form of hearing protection that was ever worn on a shooter’s head was designed for flamethrowers and grenades during World War II. It consisted of a disposable pair of earplugs made out of asbestos fibre which flew out when ignited and provided some degree of noise insulation for those wearing them during combat situations where noise levels exceeded 140 dB(A). Unfortunately, these ear plugs were not very effective at reducing sound levels outside normal listening ranges so they were eventually replaced by better Hearing Protection Devices (HPD) such asdinocores orsupraaural microphones in the 1970s which did much better at reducing sound levels than the earlier ear plugs. Since then, HPDs have become increasingly popular among shooters due to their low cost, ease-of-use, variable listening ranges (up to 20 kHz), and wide compatibility with different firearms receivers/amplifiers/sound systems. There are now many different types and sizes of HPDs available on the market so that shooters can find one that is perfect for their needs; however, there is still no definitive answer as to which type of HPD is best for any given situation. One thing is certain though- everyone should find one type or model of HPD that works best for them so they can continue enjoying slapping shots without any harmful consequences!
In the early 1920s, ear protectors became popular among shooters in the United States. In 1928, the American Shooting Association (ASA) developed a standard for ear protection that still applies today. The ASA's Ear Protection Rule required that all shooters wear hearing protectors when they engage in any type of firearm shooting.
Moses Lake was one of the first towns in Washington Territory. The town was founded by Captain Moses and his friends on the site of current-day Moses Lake. The town was named for the biblical God, Mt. Sinai. Moses Lake quickly became a popular tourist spot due to its wide variety of water activities, including fishing, swimming, and boating. In 1855, the Territorial Legislature designated Moses Lake as the capital of Washington Territory. The capital city at this time was Seattle. In 1856, residents of Moses Lake voted to rename their town to Tacoma because they felt that Tacoma had moreinence than Moses Lake as an economic center. This decision set off a legal battle between Tacoma and Moses Lake over who should get the name “Tacoma” first. Ultimately, Tacoma won out and both names remain in use today. Moses lake saw some major development during World War II when it served as a training ground for American soldiers stationed in nearby Ellensburg and Spokane County. After the war ended, many businesses moved out of downtown Moses Lakes into newer buildings on West First Street which still serve as a reminder of how important downtown business must have been back then to keep morale high during wartime times! Today, much remains unchanged about downtown Moses Lakes from its heyday during World War II - including its beautiful architecture featuring Classical Revival style architecture and several large banks which are still standing today (most notably Janson Bank). However, there is also evidence that Downtown has undergone some recent renovation - most notably new LED signage being installed along 1st Street North Buckskin Drive which now serves as an iconic viewshed for Downtowns nightlife scene!
In 1879, Moses Lake was the site of a wagon train race between the Central Pacific Railroad and the Spokane and Seattle Railway. The race began at 2 p.m., and ended at 5 p.m.
