Moses Lake is a small, unincorporated community in Yakima County, Washington, United States. It lies along the Yakima River just west of Moses Lake Dam and east of the town of Moses Lake. The population of MosesLake peaked at 200 people in 1916 but decreased to 100 during World War II due to defense preparations against Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor that year. The first store in what is now MosesLake opened on October 1, 1892 by General Henry Halleck as a general store operated out of his home on Middle Street NW., which had been built previous year as part of a village development project led by then-postmaster general Crouch under authorization from Congress under consideration since 1881 when Spokane had become a territorial county within Washington Territory following its admission into statehood%. Grant as part of our Potomac National Battlefield National Park system including Spokane Valley (now Kingman) Valley In 1861 Isaac Stevens founded Stevens Bros firm here which manufactured flour for local markets before expanding into lumbering becoming one of America’s leading companies exporting more than $1 billion worth goods worldwide through its 25 branches The first store opened up on Main Street just east of today's college campus in 1896 In 1907 real estate developer Jens Lehmann built a large home here called “the White House” which was used as both a hotel and family gathering place during World War I while also hosting concerts at nearby Maple Leaf Gardens After World War II came an era characterized by growing suburbia with high school students commuting into city centres jobs while still living close enough to get groceries or go shopping . After many years out of production due largely to competition from Japan's Toyota Motors Manufacturing company , Ford Motor Company purchased Lehmann's interest in 1967 producing much needed jobs for locals who would continue working at Ford plants until about 1978 when they closed because automated equipment took over most manufacturing leaving few people left standing behind giving rise to nicknames like "The Ghost Town" or simply " Auto Parts Junction" However some buildings still remain such as Oneonta Inn & Suites - formerly known as Enterprise Rent-A-Car Office Center - still serving customers since 1957!
