Moses Lake is a city in Clark County, Washington, United States. The population was 9,334 at the 2010 census. Moses Lake is home to the National Football League's Seattle Seahawks and American football team the Spokane Chiefs; it also has been home to two other professional teams from before NFL merger: the Spokane Americans (later the Spokane Chiefs) and the Tacoma Triangles (now known as the Tacoma Dome). The original name of Moses Lake was Indian Lookout. In 1896, a group of people led by Methodist minister John C. Lewis named their new community after Mount Sinai on Long Island in New York City. A post office called "Moses Lake" was established in 1892, and remained in operation until 1959. The town name changed to "Moses Lake" on February 3, 1907 when it became part ofClark County. In 1923, local farmers drove out white settlers who had built homes around a small lake they named "Lake Washington". A large army barracks was built for World War I use at what is now known as Fort Lawton State Park; it served as an encampment for both military personnel and civilians until 1942 when military operations were relocated to Everett Base Camp east of Seattle. After World War II ended, many residents sold their land near FortLawton State Park to lumber companies which used it for forestelling and baseball diamonds until urban sprawl erased its last remaining virgin trees in 1972-1973-1974-1975-1976 by cutting down over 100% of all living oak trees in sight due to concerns about fire potential from Spokesman Fire burning next door during that time

Moses Lake is a small town in Washington County, located about 18 miles east of Seattle. The population was 1,611 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Moses Lake-Cascade Township government and lies within the Moses Lake National Forest. The first permanent settler in what is now Moses Lake was George A. Smith from eastern Pennsylvania in 1853. He built a log cabin on an island in the river near its present location and named it Smith Island after himself and his father, George A., Sr.. In 1862, John Hardman founded the town of Moses Lake on land he had purchased from the US Army for $1 per acre. Church services were held at different locations until 1871 when they moved to what is now First Congregational Church which stood on Recreation Road northeast of town. The first school was built in 1870 by Drury & Wesson as a one room schoolhouse with ItalianATE teaching methods taught by Revs Fenton and Copley under charge of Mr. Lewis who also served as superintendent for several years before leaving for other interests in 1875. In 1909 Mrs. Anna Jenson donated land north of town to build her own elementary school, Mrs Jenson Elementary School which opened its doors that fall with grades one through eight (grades nine through twelve are currently offered at nearby Maplewood). Mrs Jenson also funded a water tower and well system which supplied water to all residences within walking distance during prohibition era; this event became known as "Mrs Jensons' War". During World War II local resident Tom Forstlund furnished military supplies including canned food, cigarettes and gasoline to be used by local residents helping out with their war efforts while residents collected money needed for purchasing goods necessary for wartime production such as radios and tanks In 1951, Pioneer High School became Moses Lake Junior-Senior High School when it merged with Fruitland High School just east of town along Highway 99W whereupon Pioneer closed its doors permanently following two years of nonstop enrollment growth without any federal funding available to keep it open; however due to numerous requests from students over the next few decades various alterations were made including adding football or track fields (the current playing field was installed in 1984), enlarging shop/ classrooms/ Cafeteria building (1985), addition of Science Center (1992), addition of gymnasium (1996) - making it one of only a handful high schools statewide that has undergone more than one renovation throughout its history . In recent years there have been plans underway to construct an annex on property west side of highway 99W adjacent to First Congregational Church serving students from both neighborhoods thus providing even more opportunities for intermingling among students from neighboring townships – something that will hopefully continue into our future . However no definitive plans have yet been announced so stay tuned!
