Moses Lake is a small town located in the northern sector of King County, Washington. It lies on the shores of Puget Sound and has a population of about 1,000 people. For many years, Moses Lake had a thriving gun industry which produced slingshots and other firearms. The town was also home to one of the first Trap & Bullet Shooters clubs in the United States. This club was founded by a group of men who were interested in shooting trap and bullet games. The club's origins can be traced back to 1904 when two men from Moses Lake bought some trap shotguns and started shooting at local ranges. The gun industry in Moses Lake began to Decline around 1910 however, it continued until around 1970 when it completely disappeared. Today, there are very few traces of this once powerful gun industry throughout Moses Lake. However, that doesn't mean that these guns didn't play an important role in the history of this town or its citizens. In fact, many believe that the gun industry may have been responsible for shaping MosesLake into what it is today - a vibrant community with strong ties to its firearms heritage

Moses Lake is a city in Skagit County, Washington, United States. The population was 1,021 at the 2000 census. Moses Lake is part of the Juanita–Skagit Valley Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city was founded by Royal Dickson in 1872 as an agricultural town on the east side of Moses Lake. In 1906, it became an incorporated municipality and acquired its present name from Moses Lake, which had been named for General David Dudley Pickens. The first post office in Moses Lake was established in 1872 by Royal Dickson. The first building built in the town was a log cabin owned by Reuben Fenton and built on the site of what is now Pioneer Cabin Park. A second log cabin was constructed around 1880 by John Merrill and it served as the town's first courthouse until 1881 when it was replaced by a grist mill imported from Sweden. A third log cabin, also erected around 1880, served as the town jail until 1888 when it burned down. The first school opened in 1872 but closed due to lack of funds; it reopened two years later under new management with instruction in English and Norwegian language classes taught by Drury Hazen. In 1906, Moses Lake became an incorporated municipality and adopted its present name from then-current Mayor George Prentice (1863-1937). On November 4th, 1908 there were celebrations marking the incorporation of Moses Lake into Washington state with speeches from both governor Harry Haldeman and Ulysses S Grant Jr.. At that time there were just 9 residents living within the limits of today's downtown core including 2 businesses: Phelps Boot & Shoe Store and Joplin Glass Works; however over time this grew to encompass all sides of downtown with additional buildings being added such as City Hall (since destroyed) followed soon thereafter by Waterfront Park which still occupies much of its original prime waterfront location today! Today's downtown core contains some 30 buildings including 3 professional offices: Hewlett-Packard Company Building (now occupied by Microsoft), American Apparel Building (now occupied by Sears) & Gastineau Street Plaza featuring many specialty shops & restaurants! Today's economy centered largely around education with several high schools serving portions or all of MosesLake Village including Juanita High School Campus which lies adjacent to I-5; Island View Middle Schoolserving portions or all or most of Kingston Township; Skagit Valley Vocational Education Center provides training for many local jobs not available anywhere else within commuting distance while also providing daycare services for young children up until 10 years old; Pioneer Cabin Park offers public recreation opportunities such as hiking/biking trails along its shoreside while also hosting a variety events year round like large concerts during summer months or poetry readings during winter months bringing people together for coffee readings before performances at small venues dotted throughout Downtown cores acrossSkagit County!
