Moses Lake Gun Sight Company was founded in 1892 by Hiram Stevens and John W. Green. The company produced sights for a wide variety of firearms, including rifles, pistols, shotguns, and machine guns. In 1931, the company became part of the Saginaw Arms Corporation. In 1937, Saginaw Arms merged with Sturm Ruger & Co., creating the first major gun manufacturer within the United States based on military-style handguns.

Moses Lake was named after Moses and the Immigrants, who settled there in 1853. The name honors both Moses, the patriarch of Israel, and the early immigrants whorought development to the area. The first post office at Moses Lake was established in 1854. The town of Moses Lake sprang up around this original settlement, which gradually grew into a small community with a population of about 100 people in 1860. By 1920, however, the population had declined to about 20 people and by 1940 it had fallen to 5 people. The decline of the local economy during World War II led to a drastic decrease in population numbers and business activity at Moses Lake. However, due to several efforts by town officials – most notably Edwin Jelinek –odus resumed in 1946 and has since grown rapidly. In 1998, when Moses Lake became a city, it adopted an official name: "MosesLake". After years of deliberations among its citizens and city officials alike over what name would be most fitting for their growing community, voters chose "MosesLake" as the new name for their municipality. Today, Moses Lake is one of Washington's fastest-growing cities with a population that continues to increase (the latest figures are over 10 000 residents). It is home to several major businesses including Microsoft Redmond headquarters as well as several large shopping malls and anotehr high-end urban center including CenturyLink Field and Chase Park Meadows Mall. With so many things happening within its boundaries - from downtown shopping to sports events - it can provide plenty of opportunities for residents to get involved with local organizations or enjoy some peaceful solitude too!
Moses Lake is a small town in Washington County, in the United States. The population was 1,968 at the 2010 census. Moses Lake is named for General Moses Woodson and his family who settled there in 1858.
