Moses Lake is a small town in King County, Washington, United States. It is located on the north bank of the Moses Lake River. The population was 1,675 at the 2010 census. The town has been called "the most reasonable place to live" and "the town you could want to be". The first gun magazine in Moses Lake was established by George Wickersham in 1851. Wickersham opened a store in what is now downtown Moses Lake and served as its first editor-in-chief. He also developed a revolver training academy. In 1857, he partnered with John Denny and erected the first store building west of present day Main Street in Moses Lake which served as their headquarters until the early 20th century when it burnt down. In 1859, Wickersham married Maria McLeod and moved his business to what is now groceries on 3rd Avenue North near present day Town Hall Square. A year later they purchased an east side lot along Railroad Avenue where they built their current brick buildings that still stand today – becoming one of only two towns in King County (along with Seattle) that still retains its original storefronts from prior eras! In 1863, Territorial Governor David Stevens appointed Jens Christensen as county prosecutor for King County due to concerns about elections being fair without an effective prosecutor within the county boundaries; Christensen served for 25 years until his death in 1916. Under Governor James Kapp's administration (1865–1871), Jonah Salk began developing what would become known as Salk's vaccine which would prevent smallpox outbreaks throughout North America Between 1865 and 1870 there were over 50 local gun magazines operating across the Puget Sound region One of the earliest events associated with Gun Magazines history took place on October 9, 1865 when Gouverneur Morris accepted an offer from Mayor Frederick Law Olmsted of New York City to contribute $10,000 towards starting a new technical school at Columbian University; Olmsted had come to Seattle looking for new land for school purposes after purchasing Des Moines Gulch east of Pioneer Square Gun Magazines operated out of various homes around MosesLake during this time including Mrs Cramer’s Store on 2nd Ave N between E Franklin St & Tacoma Rd owned by Catharine Rasmussen who ran it from 1867 thru 1888 & continued operations into 1911
