In 1911 Charles Haddon erected a frame farmhouse on what is now town center (now known as "Olde Hickory") about two miles east of present day town limits which served as village hall for many years before being replaced by an automated building in 1984 In 1913 Averill Park built a dam across Beaver Creek that created Grease Creek Reservoir adjacent to present day town limits; this reservoir would later be used for irrigation purposes In 1926 Gifford Bird settled along Grease Creek near its mouth providing initial settlers with access to water resources not available south of Bendigo proceeded further development Black Diamond Mine operated between 1931 - 1949 mine produced over one million dollars worth of copper ore

Moses Lake is a town in Washington, United States. The population was 1,711 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Moses Lake–Cedar Falls, WA Micropolitan Statistical Area. The town was named for Chief Moses and his people who settled there in 1854. In 1881, the first post office in the area was established and named after General George Armistead Harper (1824-1910). In 1912, the name of the town changed to Moses Lake after its incorporation into King County. Moses Lake has been known for its fishing and boating opportunities since early pioneer days. A landing on Mud Creek near today's downtown was used by Native Americans for hunting and gathering activities during summer months when water levels were high enough to transport goods overland. During wintertime, ice jams formed on Mud Creek which caused transportation problems for traders traveling between Seattle and Yakima River ports during that time period. In 1915, a dam was built across Mud Creek to create what is now called Truman Dam Reservoir upstream from present day downtown Moses Lake. The reservoir created a new commercial fishing economy as well as providing local residents with drinking water and flood control services until 1962 when it was replaced by Snake River Dam downstream from village center due to climate change concerns about increased flooding incidents along Snake River during extreme weather events such as floods in 1964 and 1966 that destroyed homes along I-5 near contemporary day city limits of Moses Lake; these events also resulted in an economic decline for both cities combined throughout much of central King County near then-MosesLake due primarily to loss of jobs associated with Deschutes Valley vineyards/tourism development adjacent then-MosesLakeThose losses have slowly recovered over many years with some back up or original vineyards still operating today within city limits outside current downtown boundaries
Moses Lake is a small, municipal water reservoir on the north side of Moses Lake in Washington. It was formed by damming the Snake River and built in 1913. The lake is named after Moses Lake, Michigan, which also served as its original source.
