Gun cleaning history is a long and detailed topic that can be found in many books, articles and even online. There are various types of guns, from pistols to rifles, and each one needs its own unique cleaning procedure. In this paper, we will only focus on handguns since they are less common and require less time to clean than other firearms. The first gun was created in the 18th century by Nicholas-Jacques Conte. The gun was an imitation of a catapult with a small cannonball attached to the end. This weapon was used for hunting game or as a siege tool. Gunpowder had not been invented at that time so projectiles were made out of lead or iron instead. Firearms evolved over the years and became more sophisticated before finally becoming popular in the 21st century. The most common type of firearm today is the handgun which accounts for 90% of all shooting incidents across the world1. Guns have always been an important part of society and have played an important role in war, crime, politics and now more often than not they remain unchanged into our present day society2. Each country has its own culture which influence how firearms are cleaned2-6 but generally there are five main steps involved when cleaning a handgun: chambering rounds (to ensure accuracy), discharging rounds (to protect against damage), checking alignment (to ensure function), lubricating parts (to prevent wear) and general maintenance7-11. Here we will only concentrate on chambering rounds because this is what we typically see done when cleaning handguns2-6: Step 1 - Chambering Rounds: When chambers rounds it's important to make sure that all moving parts are properly lined up in order to fire correctly3-5 . This includes everything from movement in the frame to gasps from shooters due to recoil8 . Certain operations such as cocking must be done perfectly every time9 . Failure to do so can result in decreased accuracy10 . Once all round movement has stopped there should be about one inch clearance between them 11 . If any part of your firearm feels tight or clogged then it needs attention12 . Chambers rounds by pushing down on them from behind with your palm while simultaneously pulling up on them from front13 . The exact pressure you need varies depending upon caliber14 though generally speaking it should be around 7 pounds per square inch15 . When chambers rounds start making loud noises you should stop16 ; if however they continued without making any noise then continue19 at their current pressure until either side starts making noisy noises20 or the gun fires21 , whichever comes first22 ! Some cautionary notes about loading ammunition: It's best practice never handle live ammunition except under extremely specific circumstances23 ! As mentioned before certain operations must be performed perfectly every time24 so if something goes wrong during chambering don't panic25 ; just check your ammo diagram carefully beforehand26 before starting28!

Gun cleaning and care has been a tradition in the firearm community for centuries. There are many different ways to clean a gun, but one of the most common is by using a cleaner and vacuum cleaner combination. This method involves taking all of the dirt, grit, and other debris that was built up over time on the weapon from inside and outside of the barrel.
