This mill continued to be in operation until it closed in 1922. A second sawmill was built on Mill Creek in 1925 by John Ladd, Jr.. However, this mill also stopped production after only a year due to financial difficulty. A third sawmill was built on Mill Creek in 1951 by Harry Sanger and his sons Donald and Norman Sanger. These mills continued operation until they both closed in 1984.
