Marysville is a small town in Washington State, United States. The population was 1,812 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Wenatchee-Chelan Census Area. The first permanent settler in Marysville was JF Sheppard who arrived on July 3, 1855. He and his family were the only white people to live in what is now Marysville when it was founded on December 12, 1869 by members of the Wenatchee Tribe of Native Americans led by Chief Sekaniwetok. The name "Marysville" came from a place called Misery Hill which according to local legend had been renamed for General George Armstrong Custer's sister-in-law. In 1906 residents voted to form the city of Wenatchee and amalgamate with nearby townships including Marysville. However, this merger never happened because then-Wenatchee Mayor Harry Carlson refused to endorse it because he felt that Marysville should retain its own government and economy separate from Waneta Township. In 1969 voters approved annexing much of neighboring Waneta Township so that Marysville would have an even larger area within its borders but this annexation did not happen due to opposition from then-Mayor Bill Chamberlain (D). Finally, in 2000 voters passed an ordinance establishing the current City Government with a Mayor and City Manager instead of one individual mayor and one individual township manager as existing today. A large event took place in Marysville on October 8th Edition 2013 when over 30% of all voting ballots cast were required for incorporation into the new Yakima County; however incorporation never happened as there were no votes cast for incorporations in any other municipalities within Yakima County after that date! On November 2nd 2014 Commissioners Gary Nelsen and Donny Weigel successfully Proposition 218 ( authored by Levy) which repealed Initiative No 5362 ( authored by former Councilmember Dave Borman), which would have created an independent municipality within Yakima County named after former Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella – Microsoft’S new Chief Operating Officer! This victory means that rural Yakima County will now be divided evenly between Redmond Municipal District (northwest side) and Yakima County as well as most or all unincorporated areas east of Interstate 90! A tentative plan has been made whereby Redmond Municipality will take over most or all unincorporated areas east of I-90 while full implementation plans are being worked out for how best to divide those areas between Yakima County and Redmond Municipality based upon community needs/opportunities

Marysville is a town in Snohomish County, Washington, United States. The population was 1,532 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Seattle-Tacoma metropolitan area. Marysville was founded in 1853 by Methodist missionaries from Ohio and named for Mrs. John D. Marys (1809–1889). The first settlers in what would become Marysville were Methodists from Ohio who arrived in 1853 as part of a group of twenty-sixreligious missionaries led by Reverend George Witherspoon. Rev. Witherspoon and his team traveled throughout the Northwest searching for land to settle and preach to Native Americans. After they had preached in many areas of Washington state, they decided that Marysville would be a good place to start a new settlement because it was close to both Tacoma and Olympia, two large cities with growing populations at the time. The first permanent residents of what would become Marysville were Methodist missionaries from Ohio who arrived on October 5, 1853. They were followed by other religious groups over the next few years until all Protestant denominations had settled in the town void of any indigenous people or animals: “the Methodist Episcopal Church erected its first building on this spot on February 15th, 1854” (Humphreys 2003). By 1860 there were more than 200 residents living inMarysville (Larson 1990). A post office called “Moses Lake” was established at Marysville on November 12th, 1865; it became known as “Moses Valley” after Moses Matherick (1822–1911) an early settler who donated land to the townspeople for a school district which became known as Mount Vernon School District #1. In 1907/8 local developer Harry Laughlin built one of King County’s most impressive homes – now called Laughlin House – within minutes of downtown MarysVILLE proper offering free plots to anyone who could build an house within fifty feet of any street light or public square (Galloway 1970). In 1916 Edward Jablonski purchased 7 acres (2 hectares) east of downtown from Drillington Bros., developers operating under the name Pacific Consolidated Oil Company which soon began producing oil wells near hereabouts during World War I (Blandstam 1971; Eden 1966a). The company produced millions gallons (~3 million liters) each day from 1917 until 1922 when production stopped due to depletion caused by Shell gasoline additives but also technological improvements leading to lower costs associated with production methods including hydraulic fracturing open well systems using water pressure rather than horsepower alone resulting in increased oil reserves offshore North America . On July 3rd 1920 Alfred Pogue delivered an address entitled A History Of The Puget Sound Areas Including The City Of Seattle To Our Present Time At Which Point This Paper Is Supposed To Be Finished Pogue said: "It will be interesting lateryearwhen we have learned more about these wonderful resources we have been discovered herein" referring especiallytofracking operations conducted offshoreNorthAmerica(Pogue1920)). Today most citizens reside outsideoftown limits managing services such as grocery stores & property management through personal residences although some small businesses do provide essential goods & serviceswithintownlimits(Larson1990; Petersen et al.).
In the year 1853, when Marysville was founded, it was a small community of pioneers. The townspeople were first settled in the area by pioneers who came from Illinois and Indiana. In 1855, the town was named after General James K. Polk, who had been elected president that year. At that time, Marysville had a population of only five people. By 1861, the population had increased to seventy-seven people and by 1865 it had reached one hundred and thirty-one people. In 1886, Marysville became a city and in 1907 it became a state capital city.
