However developer(s) backed out after public outcry and they lost all financing including contributions from Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen who donated $100 million toward the project In 2013 developer Tom Ankeny announced he had secured significant local donations towards demolishing/ reconstructing downtown’s iconic “The Tower” apartment complex adjacent to I-5 should it come up for rezoning or Planning Board approval during its current zoning review process – setting back another potential development opportunity for Lynndon . Downtown Lynnndon has seen several large redevelopment projects throughout its history but latest looks seem headed for demolition beginning late next year with some speculation that tower could go up soon afterwards

Lynwood was founded in 1881 by A.L. Sprague, a railroad man and early settler. The town became an agricultural center after the opening of the Puget Sound Railroad in 1887.
