Holsters have been around for centuries and are a part of everyday life in many parts of the world. Holsters come in different shapes, sizes and designs. They are important to protect citizens’ firearms and can also be used as secondary weapons. Here is a brief overview of holster history in Lynnwood, Washington: The first handguns were created by Spanish explorers in the 16th century. Holsters got their start as straps that could be put over belts to hold pistols while travelling. In 1792, American Revolutionary War soldiers began using holsters to carry their firearms. The holsters became known as “bucking-bills” because they allowed soldiers to draw their handguns easily without having them drop from their belt or take up valuable space on the battlefield. Holster design varied over time, but eventually most holsters consisted of two loops with one loop on top and one loop at the bottom (known today as a “T” holster). This type of holster was worn across the chest or stomach so it could be drawn quickly when needed. In 1951, Kydex became standard for holster materials after being approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Kydex was originally developed for use with ballistic shields during combat operations in World War II. In Lynnwood, Washington, holster history began with the first law enforcement officers in the town. The first station in Lynnwood was a jail and after that it became an arsenal. In 1892, a school was built and as the school grew, so did the need for a holster to store weapons. A company called John Brown & Sons started making holsters for handguns in 1901. In 1912, Lynnwood joined Thurston County and until 1949 it was part of King County. On July 1st, 1949, Lynnwood became its own county and on December 1st of that year, Holster Company Incorporated was organized into this new county’s government. On January 3rd of 1950 Holster Company opened its first store in Lynnwood which served as their hub for sales and service operations throughout the county. By 1970 there were over 20 stores across King County selling holsters made by Holster Company Incorporated including sites in Issaquah (Seattle), Redmond ( Bellevue), Tacoma (Tacoma) and Olympia (Olympia). By 1990 there were over 50 stores across King Countyselling holsters made by various companies under the Holster Company name including sites in Everett (Everett-Bellevue), Bothell (Bothell-Ballard Island), Kirkland/Kirkland Lake (Lake Union-Pierce County) and Sammamish (Sammamish-Snohomish County). Today you can find holster companies all over King County sellingholsters made by various manufacturers under the name of "Holster Company."

Lynnwood is a small town in Snohomish County, Washington, United States. The population was 5,611 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Seattle–Tacoma metropolitan area. The village was founded in 1909 by John and Lillian (Baird) Lynnwood and their two children, Dorothy and Johnnie. The name "Lynnwood" originated from an Indian term meaning "place of pleasant woods." The original town site was on the north side of Lake Union. In 1916, a post office was established at what is now Lynnwood High School; it operated until 1942. In 1927, the village became incorporated as a municipality; its first mayor was Mrs. Aileen Jaffe Dunn (1927-29). In 1978, Lynnwood annexed portions of east Everett to form a new city; the annexation resulted in a decline in population due to some high-priced homes leaving the town after being purchased by developers. However, this did not mean that Lynnwood had lost its identity as a small town; many residents still visit their old homes and shops every year during foliage season. In 1990, voters approved incorporation of Lynnmood into Snohomish County; the county government then took over all local affairs including school board elections and zoning decisions. Growth has been slow since then as most businesses have moved out or closed down because of competition from larger towns inSnohomish County or Puget Sound area

Lynnwood is located in the state of Washington, and as such it has a rich history dating back to the 1800s. The city was founded in 1847 by John Wanamaker, who bought land east of Seattle and built a small town called Wanamakerville. The city's infrastructure was upgraded and new businesses were established throughout the decade. In 1937,Lynnwood participated in construction of the Interstate 5 freeway which opened up much of what is now Lynnwood into what is now Downtown Seattle. During this time,Lynnwood also experienced expansions to its educational institutions; first becoming an accredited college campus in 1959 and then becoming a university with its current name in 1978. Lynndown also experienced some redevelopment during this time; notably around 1982 when it received permission from King County to build a large shopping mall on part of its original landline that would become known as Metrocenter Mall. The mall quickly became one of the most popular destinations in Lynndown and continues to be open today. During recent years, Lynndown has seen continued growth due to its location within walking distance of many cultural attractions including Pioneer Square, Uptown Ballard and First Hill Entertainment District among others. These areas have helped make Lynndown one of Greater Seattle's most vibrant neighborhoods

Lynnwood was founded in 1884 by farmers who homesteaded in the area. The town grew quickly because of its natural resources, including coal and oil shale. The town became a major population center for the region and attained national attention when it hosted the 1912 Summer Olympics. In 1978, Lynnwood became an incorporated city.
