At first, only men could vote but this soon changed when women were admitted in 1893[3][4] By 1900, most residents had moved into incorporated neighborhoods such as North Lakeshore platted in 1907[5] . Many people from outside of Lynnwood also settled there during this time including lumberjacks and engineers who worked on building Puget Sound bridges or other projects near Tacoma or Seattle[6][7]. Most residents did not have gardens so there was little interaction among them until recently when some residents started growing tomatoes nearby for local consumption[8][9] . There are still several tree farms that produce fruit trees for food distribution nearby although these operations closed about 20 years ago due to various challenges such as insect infestation that led to loss of many trees due to decay over time; however, preserved evidence from these farms has been found throughout downtown Lynnwood which helps date these structures back to circa 1890s when they were probably used as barns/storage tanks
