Ito, a gunsmith and rifle dealer, founded Ito Arms Company in what is now the city of Lynnwood. At that time, Lynnwood was a small town with few streets and only two businesses. The company produced rifles, shotguns, handguns and ammunition. In 1924, Ito Arms Company merged with Winchester Repeating Arms Company to form Winchester-Ito Corporation. From its inception at Winchester-Ito Corporation until it was sold to Colt in 1959, Ito Arms Company operated out of two buildings on Seventh Avenue North in Lynnwood. Today There are three buildings on Seventh Avenue North which still house production facilities for firearms: The Armory (now called Heritagearms), which produces sporting rifles; The Store (now called American Eagle Firearms) which sells handguns; and finally, The Manufacturing Facility (now called Riflesmiths) which manufactures bolt action rifles from stocks supplied by other companies
