Lynden, Washington is a small town in King County, Washington, United States. Lynden was founded in 1887 by Lyman Beecher and his wife Lydia Beecher. The Beechers were the first people to settle in what is now Lynden. The town became a census-designated place (CDP) in 1990. In 1949 a dam was constructed along US 97 south of Lynden and named Nichols Lake after Jens NilsEN (1846-1920), one of the founders of what would become Lynwood Village near Olympia, Washington and an early settler in the area around present day Lynden. The lake has been filled with sand since then but remains a popular swimming spot for locals and visitors alike due to its crystal clear water temperatures year round or during chilly months such as winter when ice covers most of the lake surface Today's economy lies primarily within agriculture with some light manufacturing activity taking place here also including plastics production from recycled materials used in car parts

Lynden is a small town in Thurston County, Washington, United States. The population was 905 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Seattle metropolitan area. Lynden is located on the north shore of Lake Washington and includes the communities of Arlington Heights and Bothell. It is also home to two schools: Lynden-Springfield Elementary School and Hewitt Middle School. The first permanent settlers in what would become Lynden were men from neighboring Everett who prospected for gold nearpresent-day Bellevue on April 26, 1855. They named their new settlement after George Bird Griggs, an American Fur trader who had come to Puget Sound in 1845 with his family. The first school was built in 1856 by Henry Leland Dodge and it served as a daycare for infants until 1862 when it became a high school teaching grades 6 through 12. From 1861 to 1865, Lynden was part of King County; during that time it was known as "Everett". In 1925, an act passed by the Washington Territorial Legislature designated Lynden as Thurston County's seat; since then it has been its uncontested name. During World War II, about 50% of all production at Boeing plants in Seattle were done here at Lynnwood Research Park (later Boeing Field). The park closed permanently in 1991 but many remnants remain such as the dog run that served as a runway for bombers coming into or leaving Lynnwood Airport (now Sea-Tac airport). A number of other sites around town are also reminders of Boeing’s involvement here including: North Bridge Road between Lynden Road and Bothell Drive which housed lost flying discs recovered from Lake Washington; South Bridge Road between Bothell Drive and South Waterfront Drive where parts of B-52 bomber wings were once stored; East End Avenue bordering Highway 99 across from Hewitt Middle School where maintenance areas used to be located; Station Square Shopping Center just east of Hewitt Middle School which included stores such as Sears Roebuck & Co., JCPenny & Co., Macy's Inc., Kress Shoes Company etc.; along with support facilities like car dealership barracks complete with air conditioning/heating units/motors etc.; Halequist Run Preserve near Springdale Boulevard between Northbridge Boulevard and Northwest Expressway where water Reservoir No. 1 operated until 1951 when Everett consolidated its own water supply system - raising ratespayers millions of dollars over 15 years; Sumner Street just east of Hwy 99 running concurrently from Northbridge Boulevard south to Halequist Run Preserve features several large Douglas Fir trees planted by Boeing employees during their tenure here especially during Christmas season 1975 thru 1979 In recent years there has been much development taking place around town including new homes being built on property formerly occupied by factories now housing restaurants/bars/cafés etc.; new businesses opening up such as Farmers Market Stroller Service LLC which provides easy access to fresh fruit & vegetables sourced right from local farmers whenever possible while Goodwill Industries operates a Donation Shop adjacent to BethesdaElementary School accepting gently used items both big and small not only providing economic stability but also having great impact on morale given how often people can find things they need right away rather than waiting weeks or even months sometimes necessary elsewhere Lynden is still home to many classic cars including some dating back more than 100 years old examples include this one captured on film days ago before being broken down again less than 24 hrs later!
