In 1949 - after more than sixty years as a vibrant community -Lynden passed through a dramatic transformation when annexed by Seattle as part of that city's growth into one large metropolitan area . At that point, nearly all citizens withinLyndEN lived within walking distanceof what is now CenturyLink Field; today's downtown Bellevue was only minutes away . As Seattle continued experiencing rapid development during this time period – culminating with annexation by King County –LyndEN quickly adapted to changes brought about by density zoning laws which permitted developers greater flexibility with how they planned their developments while still maintainingA sense of rural character within town limits While much has changed since then both physically (due largely to population growth)and culturally (thanks particularly to advances in technology) LynDEN has remained remarkably stable given these challenges – remaining firmly rooted within cultural values & traditions that have helped make her such an attractive place for locals & visitors alike
