Lynden is a city in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 24,814 at the 2010 census. Lynden is located on the east side of the Cascades and is bordered by Seattle to the north and east, Bellevue to the south and west, and Redmond to the northwest. The early history of Lynden can be traced back to 1851 when James Caldwell (1824–1905) founded what would come to be known as Caldwell's Creamery. The creamery was first located on Third Avenue in present day Lynden but moved in 1885 to its current location on First Street. In 1907, Caldwell's son-in-law John Ladd purchased a farm that adjoined his father-in-law's creamery site. This farm became known as Ladd Farm after John Ladd's death in 1911. At this time, there were six farmers living within one mile of Lynden who supplied milk for local residents and produced cheese, eggs and other products for sale or distribution throughout King County. In 1933, Vernon Sayers (1912–1984) began running an ice cream parlor in downtown Lynden which quickly became successful due to its high quality standards and delicious flavors. After serving customers from all over King County for many years he decided it was time for him to sell his business and move away from town center life into an ever more rural area ofWashington state where he could serve better quality ice cream from his own homebase mobile truck instead of traveling long distances every day! This decision would prove costly however because by 1935 Vernon had developed arthritis which limited his mobility so much that he could no longer operate his truck himself; instead he sold his business outright to another family member who continued operating it until 1991 when it closed down due primarily to lack of patronage from customers during winter months! Lynden has experienced rapid growth throughout recent decades with numerous new businesses opening up along with retired ones continuing operation until today including: Anheuser Busch Brewery - now part of craft beer giant Budweiser; Starbucks Coffee - now wellknown nationwide; KFC - once famous nationally but soon replaced by popular fast food chains like Chick-fil-A & Taco Bell; Applebee’s restaurant - now a national chain with multiple locations throughout Puget Sound region; Our Lady Of Fatima School – becoming one of southern Washington’s most wellknown Catholic schools while still providing instruction preschool through 4th grade year round; Microsoft – their Redmond Campus currentlyserving as a major technology center for central WA Today there are also several professional/vocational/research institutions located within walking distance such as USDOT National Traffic Center(just outside town), Northwest Marine Fisheries Science Center(just outside town), Lynnwood Community College(northwest Tacoma), University Place School District No 9 (southwest Bellevue), Goldendale Christian High School(eastside Everett) among others There are several places inside Lynden where you can find unique things like "Brewtown" which features locally brewed coffee beans sourced only from small batch roasters within 1 mile radius Additionally "Bible Bazaar" offers various religious items available for purchase such as communion wine & chalices along with Bible readings each weekdays starting at 7am PDT near Main Library across street form Walmart

Lynden, Washington is a small town in Chelan County, Washington. The population was 593 at the 2010 census. The Lynden post office was established in 1885 and closed in 1964. The first settler in Lynden was John Snively. He and his family arrived on horseback from Oregon in 1868. They started a small cabin near present-day Lynden on the east side of the Chelan River. In 1870, they built a log cabin on the north side of the river. A year later, they moved to their current location and started a school for children around this time. In 1872, Snively married Martha Houseman and began to raise crops and sell eggs out of his home*. This early farming life helped give birth to what is now known as Lynden village*, whichoriginally consisted of just five dwellings.* By 1880, there were ten residences* within one mile of the post office*. Lynden was founded in 1853 by John A. Lynden and his brother, George W. Lynden. The town was named for the trees that lined the banks of the Columbia River. In 1865, the Lyndens built a small sawmill on the river's edge, which became known as "The Mill." The mill closed in 1875, but it reopened in 1893 under new ownership and continued to operate until it shut down again in 1916.
