Lake Forest Park, Washington is a town located in King County, Washington. It was founded in 1876 by John Benton and his family. The population of Lake Forest Park was 9,827 at the 2010 census. Prehistoric activity in the area can be traced back to 7000 BC when humans began to inhabit what is now King County. By 1500 BC, human feces and other evidence suggests that people had begun hunting and trading with Native Americans in what is now Seattle. The first recorded sighting of scopes in Lake Forest Park took place on July 15th, 1876 when an observer from Tacoma spotted a “giant” telescope for the first time in this region. In recent years, redevelopment has focused on residential areas surrounding downtown including new light industry developments along Elliott Bay; mixed-use projects around Interstate 5; new sports stadiums such as Seahawks Stadium and Sounders Stadium; and motel/motel conversions into restaurants/bars/spas across several blocks south of downtown core while preserving much of its infrastructure including a major expressway system linking Tacoma with Seattle via I-5 outside of town Limits until recently - one reason why this city has been so successful at maintaining its high quality of life despite rapid growth over time despite corresponding declines in some other parts of Pierce County
