In 1933, an auto dealership was founded at 4th Street NW by Wm Fenton with assistance from J J Holahan Sr. The dealership continued to operate until it closed in 1957. In 1935, Oregon became an official state; Lacey became its second city after Portland proper opened its doors that year. With Oregon's annexation into Washington state came increased development opportunities for both cities; however, due to lack of adequate transportation links between them, neither city grew significantly beyond its small size during this time frame
Lacey is a small town in Washington state that is located on the Olympic Peninsula. The population of Lacey was estimated to be around 4,000 people in 2000. Now, with the addition of the new Olympic Stadium and nearby campgrounds, Lacey has become a popular tourist destination for visitors from all over the United States. Lacey was founded by three men who came to America from England in 1853. They started a post office and built a brewery which still stands today. The town was named after Lacey Inlet on Puget Sound. The town has seen many changes over the years but has always been an important part of Washington’s history and culture. Today, Lacey is home to several businesses including two supermarkets, two banks and four restaurants. There are also several hundred residents who live and work in the town. Many of these people come from within or nearby Lacey itself; there are no large towns or villages near Lacey like there are near some other smaller towns in America such as Seattle or Tacoma. This makes it very easy for people from all around America to get involved with life here at Lacey and make friends quickly!

Lacey is a census-designated place (CDP) in Yakima County, Washington, United States. The population was 3,865 at the 2010 census. Lacey is part of the Wenatchee–Tacoma Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first permanent settler in Lacey was George Lacey who arrived in 1847. He built a log cabin on what is now Main Street. In 1850, A.J. Trim and his family moved from Poulsbo to Lacey and started a grocery business which has been in operation since that time. In 1903, the City of Yakima voted to annex all of Yakima County and form it into a city within five years subject to referendum by residents. On July 1, 1907, Yakima voters approved annexation by voting 83% in favor of it over opposed bids from North Bend and Auburn. The city was created with land that had been annexed by North Bend and Auburn as well as some additional land that had been acquired from the Spokane Indian Reservation east of town along Dry Creek.. Lacey became an incorporated community on December 12, 1907 when it adopted its present nameakes – "Lacey" – after Mrs John Fenton Trim who donated $1,000 for its establishment purposes.. There were initial plans for naming the community after Mrs Fenton's daughter but she declined because she did not want her name associated with anyNAKED schools or other such things which may have come about as a result of her donation.. Reverend James Ewing served as the first pastor of First Presbyterian Church located in Lacey from 1912 until his death in 1951 before moving to Seattle where he founded Grace Episcopal Church… Mr Edward Henson operated an ice cream parlor adjacent to First Presbyterian church from 1915 until his retirement in 1984 However this business ceased operations prior to World War II due largely to rationing affecting food items during those wartime years .. The post office opened on March 17th 1918 under the name "Aurora" however it changed its name to "Lasley" on October 25th 1924 due to increased mail volume caused byWWII military recruits flooding into Yakima County seeking jobs then sending their mail back home…. With only 100 residents living within blocks OF each other there wasn't much need for an Post Office so on October 15th 1935 "Everett"Post Office opened up just south of present day Horizon School RD area….. By 1955 there were over 3000 people living within 5 miles of each other….. Homeowners associations formed early on including one called "The Eveready Club" which included many current or past mayors/mayors/veterans/etc etc etc….. One major development occurred when Everett High School was built near Horizon RD area……."
Lacey, Washington was a small town in the state of Washington until it was annexed by Tacoma in 1907. Lacey's history can be traced back to 1853 when John Swayne and his wife, Ann, founded the town of Lacey on the east bank of the Puyallup River. The first settler in Lacey was James A. Smyth who arrived in 1855. By 1870, there were only a few hundred residents living in Lacey. However, with continued growth within the surrounding area and development of its infrastructure such as a post office and school system, Lacey grew rapidly over the next several decades. In 1907, after Tacoma had been incorporated as a city, Lacey became part of Tacoma.
