The Yakima Rifle Range has been open for hunting since 1884, and it currently offers over 100 acres of firearm-friendly terrain. The Whitworth Rifle Range was founded in 1924 and today offers over 4,000 acres of rifle-friendly grounds. The history of gun safety in Kent goes back to at least 1894 when a group of men from nearby Seattle purchased land near what is now known as Whitworth Park and began building a rifle range. The first incarnation of the Whitworth Rifle Range was limited to Trap Shooting only – however, it quickly became one of the most popular shooting destinations in America because it offered users an incredible variety of target disciplines including Field Target Shooting (FTS), Airgun & Shotgun shooting, Pistol Shooting (Pistol matches only) and Hunting Dog Trials. In 1976, Congress passed the Gun Control Act Amendments which mandated handgun background checks for all buyers who attempted to purchase any type of weapon other than those exempted under Executive Order 12333 (which restricted possession by nationals OF Indonesian Republic). This law led to increased scrutiny on gun ranges across America as potential buyers had their personal information screened before they could even visit them! However, this didn’t stop businesses from opening their doors though – many continue to offer handgun sales despite these regulations being in place. In 1861, the town was named after Commodore John Kent of the U.S. Navy who had died in 1851 while on a voyage to Japan with his ship "Natchez". The name change came about because many people thought that Commodore Kent's namesake would be better known in America than nearby Seattle which at that time was only an agricultural and wagon-train stop on the Pacific Coast Highway. Kent grew rapidly during the late 19th century due to its location along Puget Sound and its access to lumber and coal resources. By 1910, it had become one of the most important towns in King County because of its industrial base including bananas (the town acquired a banana plantation), pulpwood mills, paper products factories and plastics plants as well as numerous other businesses. During World War II Kent produced more munitions than any other American city except Hiroshima; over 5 million rounds were made here alone! The post-war years saw continued growth as companies such as Boeing/Microsoft moved their headquarters from Seattle to Kent and additional jobs were created in various industries such as education and health care; however, support services for these new employers have since dwindled away leaving little economic development or job creation outside of agriculture or government service roles (.pdf). One issue they focus on is implementation of Initiative TEMPORARY: A measure proposed by Mayor Sohn that would prohibit wealthier businesses from using public funding for renovation projects larger than $500K without community input (); this measure faces opposition from some merchants who argue that large business investments should not come before broader neighborhood concerns

Lead shot began being used more regularly on firearms in the early 1800s thanks to its effectiveness in reducing casualty rates during battle. Lead shot is still used today as an ammunition choice for firearms because it is relatively safe when fired and does not create any sparks when firing

Kent, Washington is a town in Puget Sound County, Washington, United States. The population was 5,868 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue metropolitan area. Kent was founded in 1887 by George W. Kent and his family from Portsmouth, Hampshire, England. The first post office in Kent was established in 1888. In 1893, the town plat was filed and the name of the town changed to Kent after George W. Kent's older brother Edward H.Kent who had settled there before that time as well as his father John Denton Kirkland who had arrived from Massachusetts in 1857. At that time it covered only a small area of land along with Lewiston and Auburn on its north side while Tacoma to the south included most of what is now Seattle Township except for what is now Kenmore Square which was then called Wellesley Heights and later renamed Kentwood In 1907, when King County bought all of what is now Tacoma from Juanita Native American tribe for $2 million (the purchase followed a campaign by Senator Theodore Roosevelt), they also acquired land east of I-5 including much of present day Kenttown which would become primarily an agricultural community with modest buildings until World War II when it became one of several military bases used by the US military during World War II and postwar periods After World War II ended and many people left for jobs or other locations outside of Washington state because growth potential withinWashingtonstatewaslimited,[7]the townsite around I-5 gradually grew again until it reached its current size about two decades ago when development started anew near downtown following decisions made by leaders at both local government levels as well as across Puget Sound region regarding increased commuting opportunities provided by new transportation connections initiatives such asKING (Kirkland Highway), SeaTac Airport & Cascade Valley Railroad
