The Kelso Rifle Stock Company was organized in 1892. It was the result of a merger of two rifle companies, the Kelso Rifle and Pistol Company and the Pacific Rifle and Shotgun Company. The company produced rifles and pistols. The company ceased operations in 1951.

The company produced rifles and pistols until 1907 when it merged with the Tacoma Rifle & Pistol Company to form the Tacoma Rifle, Pistol and Machine Gun Company. In 1912, the company changed its name to the Tacoma Rifle, Pistol and Machine Gun Corporation. In 1927, the corporation merged with three other rifle companies to form the Puget Sound Arms Corporation which continued producing firearms until 1968 when it merged into Browning-Norinco Firearms Incorporated.
Kelso, Washington is a census-designated place in the Yakima Valley region of the state of Washington. The population was 1,564 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Wenatchee–Chelan area. The Kelso Post Office was established in 1879, and served until 1969. The first settlers to Kelso were George and Mary Howe who came from Boston in 1827 and built a cabin on the North Fork Of The Duwamish River. They raised crops and hunted game until 1840 when they moved to what is now Kelso. Their only daughter became Mrs. John Burnett who founded the Burnett School in 1895 which still operates today as a 4-year high school with over 350 students, making it one of the largest secondary schools in WA In 1907 Jabez Hutton platted land for what would become Kelso Village, which included a church, schoolhouse and grocery store on his farmstead known as Hutton's Ranch (now part of Mosier). The village flourished for many years until it was destroyed by fire in 1949; however, thanks to donations from Mr. & Mrs. Jabez Hutton and other residents rebuilt quickly with help from local citizens including WACO architects Captes & Covington In 1953 Sidney Crosby played his final game for Seattle at Maple Leaf Gardens against Montreal Canadiens KFC opened its first restaurant in Kelso on October 12th 1957 called "Pizza Palace." Pizza Hut purchased Pizza Palace Realty Corporation in 1984; this company operated Pizza Palaces through 2000 before being sold to Inland Empire Restaurants Incorporated parent company Domino’s Pizza plc., subsidiary Fast casual restaurant operator based out of Tacoma also owns two buildings that housed both franchises: One off University Way South near Safeco Field (located adjacent to Microsoft headquarters) which closed down on July 14th 2006 after 54 years) On January 11th 2007 PIZZA KING announced plans to open up shop inside Boeing Field Terminal 2 between Gate A2/A3 - just across from Terminal 3 - giving Everettians an easier way to get their hands on some delicious pizza!
