These guns had an open chamber that allowed the user to load ammunition into the gun without having to take it apart. The Kelso Gun Company was founded in 1892 by three men- two of whom were brothers- John Auld and Andrew Watson. The company produced a variety of firearms including pistols, shotguns, rifles, revolvers, machine guns and artillery pieces. In 1898, John Auld passed away leaving his brother Andrew as president of the company. At this point in history the Kelso Gun Company had handguns for both civilian use and military use as well as cannons and other artillery pieces. In 1902, Mr. Watson died suddenly leaving his son Andrew Jr., as president of the company- also remaining with direct control over production until his death in 1969 when it was passed on to his son Neil Watson who continued production until 1984 when it was taken over by Walther Engineering Incorporated (Welch). From 1984 until its sale to Rheinmetall AG in 1996 there was only limited production with each batch being made to order rather than mass produced like many other companies at that time. The Welch factory output reached around 10 million rounds per year before ceasing operations due to technological advances during World War II which led to increased demand for airguns throughout Europe; however American manufacturers responded quickly with new designs while American factories built larger plants specifically devoted solely to making airguns which made them more competitive against European counterparts on price alone (Heiland 1991). With wartime restrictions placed upon America’s export industries following victory over Nazi Germany in 1945 Airgun manufactures again became prevalent across the globe although kelvon manufacturing would only resume after reopening after the war (Heiland 1991). During World War II there was a great increase in demand for rifle ammunition due primarily to strategic bombing raids against Japan which resulted in significant losses for Japan’s military forces (Farrell 2003). This led often times civilians caught up within those raids become targets providing insurgents with fresh supplies of weapons which helped them fight off government soldiers (Goudreau 2003). Airguns saw increased popularity among civilians during this time because they could be used safely outside populated areas where traditional firearms might not be safe or practical; however despite thisadvantage none possessed an equivalent tactical lethality compared unto traditional hand grenades or mortar fire (Goudreau 2003). Kelso is a town in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 9,842 at the 2010 census. Kelso is part of the Bellevue–Everett–Tacoma Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first Europeans to visit what is now Kelso were fur traders in the 18th century. The town was named for John Kelsey, a captain with the Hudson's Bay Company. In 1887, local farmers formed the Agricultural and Mechanical District of King County and began to sell products from their farms through a system of "mail order" sales. This system continued until 1905 when statehood made local government unnecessary and mail order sales ceased operations entirely. In 1901, Everett Public Schools became an independent school district; it has since grown into one of Washington's largest public schools districts with more than 26 campuses across King County From 1907-1968, Kelso was home to America's first High School boys' soccer team (later renamed as Seattle Sounders FC). After being expelled from Seattle High School due to rules against organized football before that season, the team moved to nearby Husky Stadium and compiled an undefeated record there between 1909-1910 which helped them earn their nickname "America's Team". From 1912-1971 they played their home games at Legion Field on Elliott Bay which served as both home field and training ground for America's Navy during World War I while also serving as a venue for basketball and other sports leagues; after this season they switched to CenturyLink Field on Mercer Island where they currently play all their games today The most recent high school in town is Tacoma High School which opened in 2013 after years of planning by locals including developer Ted Siewert . Tacoma HS replaced former Roosevelt Middle School which had been closed following allegations of sexual abuse by its then-headmaster.,
