The company grew to become one of the leading optical retailers in the Northwest, selling a wide variety of optical products including telescopes, microscopes, binoculars, night vision goggles and other electronic equipment. In 1942, the company merged with Pacific Lumber & Hardware to form Pacific Lumber & Hardware and Trading Company. In 1951, the company merged with Western Electric Corporation to form Western Electric Corporation Optical Division (WEOD). In 1957, WEOD was renamed as Western Electric Corporation Optical Group (WECO). On 1 October 1968, WECO became a subsidiary of American Radio Relay Association (ARRA) under its management.
Ferndale is a town in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 1,752 at the 2010 census. Ferndale is located on the north shore of Lake Chelan and its ZIP code is 98206. It has a rich agricultural history dating back to when the area was part of the Snohomish Country. Today, Ferndale's economy revolves around its location as an agricultural center and its status as a bedroom community for Seattle. The town started out as a small settlement called Harmony in 1881 by farmers from neighboring Olympia who had come to buy land near the lake. The name Harmony was chosen because it sounded similar to "Harmony Township", which already existed in that area. In 1912, Ferndale became official when it was incorporated as a town under the jurisdiction of King County. In 1915, fernery manufacturer J H L routing opened an article plant in Ferndale with capacity for 100 cars per day; this led to increased demand for goods brought overland by rail from Puget Sound ports such as Tacoma and Everett. By 1924, fernery production had reached 2 million pounds per year (2 metric tons/day) making it one of the largest employers in downtown Ferndale. The company closed down during World War II due to wartime rationing but restarted after the war and continued producing fernery until 1984 when it merged with American Can Company to form Atlantic Can Incorporated . The first post office established in Ferndale was built on July 16, 1881; this building still stands today and serves as headquarters for King County's Office of Emergency Management . The current post officeBuilding also served as courthouse from 1886-1982; however, following construction of county jail facilities nearby on South Park Avenue (now known as First Avenue), courthouse functions were transferred to new buildings at 5th Ave & Market Street beginning November 30th 1978 .

With time however new technologies came along that allowed photographers much greater control over their images than ever before. For example photographic film could now be developed on site rather than havingto go from town to town fetching films! This made Photography much more affordable for civilians as well as military personnel stationed abroad! With all these new technologies came also came new opportunities for optical accessories manufacturers. For example companies like Nikon started creating special lens systems called Nikkor lenses which offered unique focal lengths and f-stops which allowed photographers creative liberties when shooting landscapes or wide open shots!. Additionally other companies like Pentax created specialized eyeglasses called Power Factors which allowed users To shoot photos at +5 degrees Celsius (21 degrees Fahrenheit)!!!
