The Payne Brothers were also responsible for the design of the company’s trademark “PuppyEar” holster pistol design. In 1916 the company merged with the Tacoma Pistol Company to form Pierce Arms Manufacturing Corporation. Pierce Arms had a range in Ferndale that produced pistols, shotguns and rifles until it closed in 1964.
Ferndale is a town in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 9,851 at the 2010 census. Ferndale is located on the edge of Puget Sound and bordered by the cities of Tacoma and Seattle to the north, Bellevue to the east, Everett to the south, and206th Street SW to the west. In 1905, ferndale voters passed a resolution supporting annexation of Everett into King County as part of a larger movement for annexing all rural areas of King County into one government body; this resolution failed due to opposition from Everett Mayor Harry Gibbons Sr.. In 1916 ferndale voters also passed a resolution approving incorporation withSeattle as its provisional capital; this resolution also failed due to opposition from Seattle Mayor Edwin Murray Jr.. During World War II ferndale residents served in various military units including the Coast Guard (1941-1945), Navy (1943-1945), Army (1942-1945) and Air Force (1944-1945). Many local businesses participated in wartime production such as Boeing Aircraft Co., Northwest Woodworking Company Inc., Douglas Aircraft Co., Kenmore Chemical Company Inc., Allis Chalmers Corporation etc.; these companies remain active today with operations centered aroundferndalesouthshoreline Railroad which runs along downtown streets between downtown Seattle and Seaforth Place/Plymouth Place Shopping Center while other parts of downtown are occupied by new mixed use development projects such as Amazon Web Services LLC’s HQ2 campus nearby which will soon become home to another large company headquarters too – Microsoft Corp../

Ferndale is a town in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 1,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Seattle–Tacoma metropolitan area. Ferndale is located on the north bank of the Duwamish River and has access to Puget Sound to the east and Lake Washington to the west. The town was founded by Captain John Jacob Astor in 1851 as an agricultural colony on what are now known as Astoria Island and Hecla Island. By 1853, Ferndale had become a small enough community that it petitioned for incorporation into King County. A vote in December 1854 failed but Ferndale continued to grow through incorporations and annexations until it became an official community with a full name in 1857. In 1861, Ferndale voted to secede from King County and form its own government under a new constitution approved by referendum. The first Mayor was George Crocker (1861-1862). In 1870, ferndales annexed both Strawberry Point (to the north) and Quilcene (to the south), bringing its total population up to 2,500 residents. That year saw ferndales' first railroad connection when Tacoma Railway built a line between Tacoma and Olympia double track; this line became operational in 1872. During World War I, ferndale's naval yards produced munitions for Seattle while their manufacturing plants processed food products needed by military personnel stationed throughout America; these facilities continue today as Evergreen State College's Northwest Manufacturing Park. In 1951, during nuclear testing at Bikini Atoll off Ferndale's coast, high levels of plutonium were released which created some very thick plumes of smoke that reached much further than any other place in town; this event remains one of the most famous local memories because it caused many people living near ground level including many children who lived on Topaz Hill close to where plutonium drums were dropped www .ferndALE-LINKS .com
The Ferndale area was first inhabited by the local tribe of the Squamish people in the 1800s. They were joined by other tribes during the late 1800s, and by 1900, there were about 20 different tribes living in Ferndale.
